At first glance, it's hard to guess what the latest solution from Q Acoustics is, namely the Q Acoustics E330A. In fact, this is an amplifier that can be installed directly in the ceiling and can be used as the basis for a custom installation solution.

Sometimes you can be truly amazed at the creativity that some manufacturers can come up with, such as the English company Q Acoustics. You might think you are dealing with a proven, traditionally operating loudspeaker specialist, but then the company surprises you with a solution that you have probably never seen on the market before, and which presents itself as extremely smart and versatile, namely the new Q Acoustics E300A WiFi-enabled in-ceiling installed HiFi amplifier.
As the name suggests, it is actually a stereo integrated amplifier that presents itself in a very unusual form, primarily for installation in the ceiling, but wall mounting in drywall construction is also possible in principle. In combination with loudspeakers for ceiling and wall installation, the new Q Acoustics E300A is intended to provide an extremely versatile custom installation solution, including streaming.
Q Acoustics E300A – Custom installation solution for a small budget and with minimal effort
The intention of the developers at Q Acoustics was to provide users with a product that allows custom installation solutions at a low price and with minimal effort, without having to compromise on flexibility – quite the opposite. Some of the features offered by the new Q Acoustics E300A are not found in many much more complex solutions.
In-Ceiling Panel – Compact in size, easy to install
The Q Acoustics E300A measures just 125 x 125 x 145 mm and weighs 1.2 kg. It can be easily installed in an appropriate hole in the ceiling or a wall and then presents itself with a white front with buttons as control elements and an LED ring.
Two RJ45 Ethernet interfaces for integration into the network and a combined mini Toslink socket for optical digital audio and an analogue 3.5 mm stereo mini jack socket are available at the rear. The connections for speakers are of course also available here, as is a socket for power supply via an external power supply unit.
Streaming via network or Bluetooth 5.2
Apart from the digital and analogue inputs just mentioned, the focus is of course on streaming, which can be integrated into the network via the aforementioned RJ45 Ethernet interface or the WiFi module integrated into the Q Acoustics E330A.
The Q Acoustics E300A supports UPnP, Apple AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect, Amazon Music and is also equipped for voice control via Amazon Alexa. The user therefore does not need a separate app, but can instead rely on a wide variety of protocols that are available directly via their smartphone or tablet, for example.
Speaking of smartphones, an integrated Bluetooth 5.2 module enables music streaming directly from the smartphone even without a network. In addition to the aforementioned possibility of control via various apps and Amazon Alexa via voice control, the Q Acoustics E300A also comes with a matching remote control.
Class D amplifier
In order to adequately drive speaker systems, the new Q Acoustics E300A is equipped with an efficient Class D amplifier module, which offers an output of twice 25 watts at 6 ohms continuous power and twice 50 watts peak power. According to the manufacturer, this means that not only two, but also four ceiling or in-wall loudspeaker systems can be operated without any problems.
