The basis for using the latest version of the Hegel Control App and all the associated innovations are firmware updates that Hegel Music Systems is now offering for the stereo integrated amplifiers at the top of its product line-up.

The new firmware for the Hegel H400 Streamliner and Hegel H600 Integrated Stereo Amplifier systems initially ensures that they are designated as Roon Ready, so that they can be seamlessly integrated into the media management and multi-room Hi-res audio streaming solution from Roon Labs LLC.

In addition, according to the manufacturer, this update supports TIDAL Max, as explicitly emphasised. TIDAL Max is, as is well known, the TIDAL offering that provides Hi-res audio content in FLAC.

With the help of the new Hegel Control app, the amplifier systems are now able to access content via Airable Internet Radio, including podcasts. Of course, the Hegel Control app can also be used to control the amplifier systems of the renowned Norwegian high-end HiFi company using smartphones with Apple iOS and Google Android.
