Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series now with TIDAL Connect

With the help of the latest firmware, the solutions of the Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series of the current second generation are now able to play back content directly via TIDAL Connect.

Once again, the English hi-fi manufacturer Naim Audio Ltd. has dedicated itself to the topic of TIDAL in the form of new firmware, which is now available for the solutions of the Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series of the current second generation.

With this new firmware, the solutions of the Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series are now also able to play back content from TIDAL directly via the TIDAL Connect interface.

Firmware 4.3 for TIDAL Connect

As of 9 December 2021, Naim Audio Ltd. is offering the new firmware 4.3, which brings with it support for TIDAL Connect. This is available for the Naim Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation, Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation, Naim Mu-so Wood Edition and Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition solutions.

The installation is carried out via the Naim App for Apple iOS and Google Android, as has always been the case.

TIDAL Connect as an alternative to the Naim App

Of course, you could access the TIDAL service via the Naim app on your smartphone or tablet, but you don’t have to after this update. Instead, you can select the second-generation Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series solutions as playback devices directly via the TIDAL app for Apple iOS and Google Android and start playback immediately.

The update, which is now available for the second generation Naim Mu-so Wireless Speaker Series systems, follows the update that Naim Audio Ltd. announced in mid-September 2021 for its other in-house streaming solutions to support Naim’s systems for TIDAL Connect – the Naim Uniti Atom, Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, Naim Uniti Star and Naim Uniti Nova, as well as the Naim ND5 XS 2, Naim NDX 2 and Naim ND 555 streaming players. At the time, the UK company announced the second update.

TIDAL Connect is available to all subscribers of the streaming service. New users can try TIDAL Connect free for 90 days when they purchase a product from the current Naim streaming family.

Getting to the point

As promised, the new firmware with TIDAL Connect support for the streaming solutions of the classic HiFi range from Naim Audio Ltd. is now followed by the firmware that also equips the all-in-one streaming systems from the English company for direct access via TIDAL Connect. This means that the Naim Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation, Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation, Naim Mu-so Wood Edition and Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition solutions can now be selected as playback systems directly in the TIDAL app.
