McIntosh Connect app available for Apple iOS and Google Android
With the McIntosh Connect app for Apple iOS and Google Android, solutions such as the McIntosh C55 2-Channel Solid State Preamplifier or McIntosh C2800 2-Channel Vacuum Tube Preamplifier can be controlled particularly conveniently. This app is now available to all users.

With the McIntosh C55 2-Channel Solid State Preamplifier and McIntosh C2800 2-Channel Vacuum Tube Preamplifier, two new, particularly interesting preamplifiers from McIntosh Laboratory Inc. are now available. According to the manufacturer, the two preamplifiers are characterised by their numerous inputs and outputs and thus serve as the central interface of a flexible HiFi chain.
A special feature of both preamps is that they can be integrated into the network, although this has nothing to do with streaming, but solely with the most convenient control possible.
McIntosh Connect app for flexible control
Of course, the new McIntosh C55 2-Channel Solid State Preamplifier and McIntosh C2800 2-Channel Vacuum Tube Preamplifier have all the relevant controls directly on the front, a remote control can be used and the systems have all the essential interfaces for integration into control systems, such as 12 V triggers and the like.
In addition, as already mentioned, these new preamplifiers can also be integrated into the network and then conveniently controlled using the new McIntosh Connect app, which, according to the manufacturer, is now available for Apple iOS and Google Android as promised by McIntosh Laboratory Inc.
The McIntosh Connect app can be used to control the most important functions of these preamplifiers, including volume control and the selection of inputs and outputs. In addition, selected McIntosh Laboratory Inc. source components that are connected to the McIntosh C55 2-Channel Solid State Preamplifier or McIntosh C2800 2-Channel Vacuum Tube Preamplifier via a data cable can also be partially controlled via the app’s Source Control function.

The McIntosh Connect app is now available as a free download from either the Apple App Store or Google PLAY Store. This is of course offered free of charge.
Getting to the point
At the presentation of the latest McIntosh C55 2-Channel Solid State Preamplifier and McIntosh C2800 2-Channel Vacuum Tube Preamplifier, the US High-end HiFi manufacturer McIntosh Laboratory Inc. announced that they could be integrated into the network, but not for streaming, but solely for convenient control, using the McIntosh Connect App for Apple iOS and Google Android, which is now available.
