JBL PartyBox 710 – Ready to party

The new JBL PartyBox 710, the latest addition to the JBL PartyBox Series, offers powerful performance for a powerful sound and an effective light show.

With the JBL PartyBox 710 now available, the latest family member of the JBL PartyBox Series is available, and a particularly powerful one at that, thus extending the product range upwards.

The JBL PartyBox 710, together with the JBL PartyBox 110, was first announced in September of this year as a particularly robust solution for sound reinforcement at any party.

Situated between the consumer segment and pro audio

In principle, one could of course also speak of a Bluetooth speaker with the new JBL PartyBox 710, after all, Bluetooth is also used here as the primary signal transmission, for example from a smartphone.

However, what is still associated with this description certainly does not apply here, first and foremost a compact size.

Harman International Industries also states that the new JBL PartyBox 710 is located somewhere between the consumer segment and the pro audio segment, so that it cannot quite be classified in one or the other product category.

Transportable, but certainly not a mobile solution

The JBL PartyBox 710 presents itself as a very powerful solution, it is transportable but certainly not suitable to be taken along all the time. You definitely have to grip it a little tighter.

The JBL PartyBox 710 measures 39.9 cm in width, 43.6 cm in depth and 90.5 cm in height and thus weighs in at an impressive 61.3 kg. The JBL PartyBox 710 is therefore ultimately a “small” PA system, which appropriately not only has a solid, extendable handle, but also robust wheels for moving around.

The housing of the JBL PartyBox 710 is also designed to be very robust, and so that this solution can not only be used indoors, it is splash-proof according to IPX4 and thus easily equipped for an outdoor party in any weather. Nothing stands in the way of après-ski use or a pool party.

Powerful sound

A remarkable power of 800 watts is supposed to be available, driving two 8 inch woofers and two 2.75 inch tweeters, covering a frequency range between 35 Hz and 20 kHz. The use of a particularly robust housing is not only due to reasons of safety during transport or use in various places, but also because the performance requires a particularly stable construction in order to be able to show it off free of distortions and vibrations.

Bluetooth 5.1, USB, AUX and more…

We already mentioned it, of course Bluetooth 5.1 is primarily available to connect a source device. In addition, the JBLPartyBox 710 has a USB interface for corresponding storage media and an AUX input in the form of a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack for analogue sources.

In addition, there are connections for a microphone and a guitar, so you can also use the JBL PartyBox 710 – at least to a certain extent – for making music, but what is more exciting is that you can use it to create a better atmosphere at a party. A so-called karaoke EQ tuning of the JBL PartyBox 710 also fits in with this.

Two is more…

If desired, the JBL PartyBox 710 can be connected with other solutions of the JBL PartyBox Series, so that an even richer performance is offered, above all with another JBL PartyBox 710 to form a stereo pair. The manufacturer refers to this as True Wireless Stereo, which effortlessly provides sound for every party.

This is done via the JBL PartyBox app, which is available for Apple iOS and Google Android and can also be used for further configurations of the JBL PartyBox 710.

Light show must not be missing

Not only can the JBL PartyBox 710 provide a dynamic light show to match the music, but synchronised to the music, there is also a colour run strobe, RGB animation, colour projection light, as well as starlight and club light available.

No battery, only mains operation

In view of the dimensions and performance of the JBL ParyBox 710, it is clear that a rechargeable battery is not sufficient for operation. This solution can only be operated directly from the mains, which should be mentioned for the sake of completeness.

The new JBL PartyBox 710 will be available immediately from specialist dealers. The recommended retail price is € 749.

Getting to the point

The JBL PartyBox 710 is much more than just a particularly powerful Bluetooth speaker. In principle, it should not be called a conventional Bluetooth speaker, but rather a solution designed by Harman Industries International for sound reinforcement at events, especially parties. The focus here is not on a handy, lightweight design, but rather on offering real power for rich sound, and in addition to Bluetooth for connection to smartphones, USB and analogue inputs are just as relevant. The fact that you also get a matching light show…
