The first result of the new partnership between Sonus Faber S.p.a. and the Italian brand Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., which is part of Volkswagen AG via Audi AG, can be found in the Lamborghini Revuelto.
True to the ideology of Sonus Faber S.p.a., nature is also the inspiration for this audio system, whereby in this case the most powerful natural event was used as the basis. The audio system of the Lamborghini Revuelto is intended to stimulate all the senses, as powerful as a roll of thunder, according to the Italian company.
The latest technology from Sonus Faber harmoniously integrated into the vehicle
This is achieved by means of seven loudspeaker systems that blend discreetly into the vehicle’s interior and, of course, are always optimally positioned for optimum performance.
A centre channel in the form of a 160 mm full-range speaker powered by 25 watts is used in the dashboard, while two 25 mm tweeters with 40 watts and two 160 mm mid-woofers, each powered by 150 watts, are located in the doors of the vehicle. Two 80 mm full range speakers with 25 watts each are also used as surround speakers, located in the B-pillars of the vehicle.
The central control and signal processing is handled by a Class D Dual DSP amplifier, which provides a total of 750 watts of power.
According to Sonus Faber S.p.a., all loudspeaker systems used in the new Lamborghini Revuelto utilise the latest technologies.
The two-way systems in the doors rely on midrange drivers designed for long strokes and thus allow a dynamic performance free from distortions that damage the sound. The tweeter is equipped with a so-called NanoSilk dome tweeter, which ensures precise high frequencies without any harshness or sharpness, according to the manufacturer.
Human touch
Despite all the technology on offer, it is essential that the human touch, as Sonus Faber S.p.a. puts it, remains the focus. The technology alone is nothing without the expertise of the developers, who worked hand in hand with the technicians and designers from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and achieved perfect coordination in extensive listening sessions.
