Shokz OpenMeet - Headset for professional use

As a solution for professional use, Shokz now presents the Shokz OpenMeet headset based on Shokz DualPitch Technology, Shokz PremiumPitch 3.0 Technology and Shokz LeakSlayer 3.0 Technology.

Story Highlights
  • The latest solution from Shokz, the Shokz OpenMeet, is designed as a headset for professional use.

The company Shokz is probably known to many consumers primarily as a provider of products in the field of sports, and from the very beginning has been dedicated to headphones that were specially designed for people with particularly active lifestyles. However, Shokz also specialises in products for the professional environment, such as headsets like the new Shokz OpenMeet.

The new Shokz OpenMeet is a headset designed as a customised solution for professional use, combining a range of innovative technologies with ergonomic design.

Bone Conduction and Air Conduction

One of the most important features of the new Shokz OpenMeet is probably Shokz DualPitch Technology, which combines Bone Conduction and AirConduction for the best results. The Shokz OpenMeet headset therefore has a so-called bone conduction driver, but also a classic dynamic driver. In combination with Shokz PremiumPitch 3.0, the aim is to achieve a particularly clear, natural sound.

Shokz LeakSlayer 3.0 Technology is also designed to minimise sound leakage and thus ensure a certain degree of privacy, as the manufacturer emphasises.

Ideal for conversations even in noisy environments

The new Shokz OpenMeet uses dual microphone technology and Qualcomm cVc noise cancellation, which according to Shokz reduces ambient noise by up to 98.6 per cent. The Shokz OpenMeet is therefore perfect for conversations even in noisy environments, such as a busy office environment.

Signal transmission via Bluetooth including Bluetooth Multipoint Connection

It goes without saying that the new Shokz OpenMeet uses Bluetooth for signal transmission to ensure ‘wireless’ convenience. Bluetooth 5.4 is used here, which is characterised by particularly resource-saving operation and, in conjunction with the Shokz OpenMeet’s 215 mAh lithium-ion batteries, should guarantee a talk time of up to 14 hours or a playing time of up to 15 hours.

A quick-charging function enables a further two hours of use after just five minutes connected to the mains. The Shokz OpenMeet is fully charged after 90 minutes.

It should be mentioned that multipoint connection is also available via Bluetooth, i.e. simultaneous connection to two sources, between which you can switch seamlessly.

Robust and lightweight

With the new Shokz OpenMeet, the manufacturer has opted for a solid headset structure made from a so-called TitaniumFlex frame construction, resulting in a very low weight of just 78 g. In addition, polycarbonate and polypropylene are used in the construction. In addition, polycarbonate and polyamide are used and all components that come into direct contact with the user’s skin are coated with silicone.

Prices and availability

The new Shokz OpenMeet should be available within the next few days, with a recommended retail price of € 259,-. Incidentally, the scope of delivery includes a Bluetooth adapter, which is available with either USB-A or USB-C.

Getting to the point

The new Shokz OpenMeet is designed as a headset for professional use, in which Shokz once again relies on the so-called Shokz DualPitch Technology, combining bone-sound drivers with conventional dynamic drivers for the best quality in any environment.
