It was in 2022 that the English specialist for portable audio solutions and desktop audio Roberts Radio Ltd. presented a very special solution from the Roberts Revival Series, namely the very stylish Roberts Revival Petite system. This was a solution that offered everything that characterises the products from Roberts Radio Ltd. in the smallest form, according to the English company’s promise. In fact, it was a handy mobile radio that offered FM, DAB and DAB+ as well as Bluetooth, and also boasted rich sound and a long battery life.
The solution also proved to be extremely popular due to its vintage-look design and an enormous number of different colours, a success that Roberts Radio Ltd. would naturally now like to continue with the second generation, the new Roberts Revival Petite 2.
Portable radio, palm-sized…
According to Roberts Radio Ltd, the new Roberts Revival Petite 2 is the next generation of the Roberts Revival Series radio, which is only the size of the palm of your hand and is characterised at first glance by an extremely appealing retro design.
But it’s not just the eye that should be pleased, a solid finish with a wooden housing and a leather cover in a wide range of colours should also convey high quality in terms of feel.
The new Roberts Revival Petite 2 measures no more than 12,4 cm in width, 7,3 cm in height and 8,5 cm in depth and weighs in at 430 g.
FM, DAB, DAB+ and Bluetooth
Firstly, radio is intended to provide flexibility in use, which can be received via FM as well as DAB and DAB+. The latest generation of the Roberts Revival Petite 2 now has a rod antenna, which is designed to provide even better reception. Furthermore, this solution now has 20 presets.
Smartphones and tablets can be directly integrated as a source via Bluetooth, so that not only your own content, but above all streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, TIDAL, Qobuz or TIDAL are available. All you need is the corresponding app for Apple iOS or Google Android and, of course, a subscription. Internet radio and podcasts are also available anytime and anywhere.
Mobile devices can now also be charged, with the new Roberts Revival Petite 2 now offering a USB-C port. The integrated lithium-ion battery is designed to ensure a long battery life, lasting up to 20 hours according to the manufacturer.
Despite its compact dimensions, the manufacturer claims that the new Roberts Revival Petite 2 delivers a rich sound, primarily thanks to a full-range driver with a diameter of 40 mm in combination with an additional passive bass radiator at the rear.
Another new feature is that the Roberts Revival Petite 2 now has an alarm clock function so that it can be used as a radio alarm clock when travelling and, of course, there is also a headphone connection in the form of a 3,5 mm stereo mini jack.
Really colourful…
The first generation of this portable radio was already available in countless colour variants, and this naturally also applies to the new Roberts Revival Petite 2. No fewer than seven design variants are available here, namely Pop Orange, Dusky Pink, Midnight Blue, Sunburst Yellow, Duck Egg, Pastel Cream and Black.

The new Roberts Revival Petite 2 should be available within the next few days, with the manufacturer quoting a price of GBP 99 for this solution. Incidentally, the scope of delivery includes a matching transport case, the Roberts Revival Petite Travel Pouch.
Getting to the point…
The second generation of the compact portable radio in the Roberts Revival Series from Roberts Radio Ltd, the new Roberts Revival Petite 2, boasts some very welcome improvements. First and foremost, a rod antenna should ensure even better reception, an alarm clock function makes it a practical radio alarm clock when travelling, an elegant carrying case is available to match and there is now also a USB-C port for charging smartphones and tablets.
