REL Series HT now in white - elegant design with deep bass
The subwoofers in the REL Series HT were previously only available in a black finish, but now the subwoofer specialist REL Acoustics Ltd. is presenting the models in this product line, including the REL HT/1003 MKII, REL HT/1205 MKII and REL HT/1510 Predator, in white as well.

With the REL Series HT solutions, the company has subwoofers in its product portfolio that it wants to target at a particularly broad audience, says REL Acoustics Ltd, a proven specialist in subwoofers. The products REL HT/100 3 MKII, REL HT/1205 MKII and REL HT/1510 Predator are designed to be systems that are offered at particularly attractive prices, yet still guarantee an exceptionally dynamic, powerful performance.
Until now, the subwoofer models REL HT/1003 MKII, REL HT/1205 MKII and REL HT/1510 Predator were only available in black, but REL Acoustics Ltd. is now able to announce that the REL Series HT solutions are also available in white.
REL Series HT – specially designed for home cinema systems
At REL Acoustics Ltd., subwoofers are usually referred to as solutions that are equally designed for stereo and home cinema. This is not the case with the REL Series HT systems, which are specifically designed for use in home cinema.
These subwoofers are said to offer the ideal combination of a lightweight, modern REL carbon fibre glass driver with a powerful Class D amplifier module, a REL NextGen5 Class D Amplifier, which is said to form the basis for an especially impressive dynamic performance. REL Acoustics Ltd. also offers an input filter specially adapted for use in home cinema, which is said to guarantee a full-bodied performance even down to around 20 Hz.
The developers’ stated aim was to provide price-sensitive home cinema users with powerful systems that can deliver a superior performance in almost any room, thus providing an acoustically credible backdrop to the entire dramaturgy of modern blockbusters.
It should be mentioned that the solutions of the REL Series HT can of course not only be integrated into the home cinema via cable, but there is also an option to control them ‘wirelessly’, namely via the optionally available REL HT-Air MKII Wireless and REL Airship II.
Timelessly elegant appearance
Of course, it is difficult to talk about elegant design when it comes to subwoofers. Due to the nature of the system, these solutions are not among those products that have a very striking appearance.
It is therefore all the more important that subwoofers are as discreet as possible in terms of design, so that they can be integrated into the living environment as unobtrusively as possible.
This is precisely the reason why REL Acoustics Ltd. has now decided to offer the REL Series HT models not only in a black finish, but also in white.
The US specialists are convinced that white is essential in some markets, in particular, in order to meet the prevailing living trends. According to REL Acoustics Ltd., this includes not only certain states in the USA, but also Europe, and in particular Central and Northern Europe.
Black or white
As with the black finish, the REL Series HT subwoofer is now also available in a white silk-matt finish, with the logo, which is traditionally located on the top of the subwoofer, being in matt gold rather than matt silver in this case, to create an attractive contrast.
The REL Series HT models
As mentioned above, the REL Series HT currently comprises three subwoofers, with the REL HT/1003 MKII being the entry-level model. This model features a 10-inch long-throw carbon glass cone driver and a 300-watt Class D amplifier. With dimensions of 362 x 343 x 387 mm, this subwoofer weighs 15,5 kg.
The REL HT/1205 MKII model features a 12-inch long-throw carbon-glass cone driver, which is driven by a 500-watt Class D amplifier module. With dimensions of 413 x 387 x 438 mm, this solution weighs 19,6 kg.
The top of the range is the REL HT/1510 Predator, a subwoofer whose 15-inch long-throw carbon glass cone driver is powered by a Class D amplifier with an impressive 1,000 watts of power. It is therefore hardly surprising that this is a heavyweight in terms of dimensions, weighing in at a hefty 45,2 kg with dimensions of 540 x 457 x 494 mm.
Prices and availability
The REL Series HT models in white should be available from specialist retailers soon, according to REL Acoustics Ltd. The prices for the new white models are the same as those for the black models.

REL Acoustics Ltd. has been offering subwoofers not only in black but also in white for years, so that they can be harmoniously integrated into any modern living environment. This now also applies to the REL Series HT and thus to the product line that the US subwoofer specialist offers specifically for price-sensitive home cinema enthusiasts. The REL HT/1003 MKII, REL HT/1205 MKII and REL HT/1510 Predator models are now available not only in black, but also in white.
