Naim Audio Ltd. is now launching the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition All-in-One Player, another solution in the Naim Uniti Series, a product line that boasts extremely elegant, versatile systems. This also applies to the latest addition, which is also said to be the most powerful all-in-one system from the English company to date.

The Naim Uniti Series has been on the market for a very long time compared to other solutions in these fast-moving times, but the products can still be described as a contemporary, state-of-the-art solution. Nevertheless, it is astonishing that Naim Audio Ltd. is now launching a new product in this series, and one that is quite extraordinary, as the name suggests.
The new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition All-in-One Player is not only an extremely flexible, tried-and-tested all-in-one system, but above all the most powerful all-in-one system in the Naim Uniti Series to date.
Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition – The ideal all-round solution
The new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition follows the tradition of the Naim Uniti Series, which has proven to be an extremely successful product line over the years with the Naim Unit Atom, Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, Naim Uniti Star, Naim Uniti Nova and Naim Uniti Core.
Naim Audio Ltd. claims to have set the standard in high-end all-in-one systems with these solutions, both in terms of the quality of the components and their capabilities.
The focus is on streaming
Streaming is of course the main focus, and this also applies to the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition, which can be integrated into the network either via cable and the RJ45 Ethernet interface or WiFi using IEEE 802.11ac.
The latest Naim NP800 Streaming Card with LVDS Balanced Signal is the basis for streaming, as the English company emphasises.
This means that it initially serves as a dlna-certified UPnP streaming client, but also supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast technologies. The associated app, the Focal & Naim app for Apple iOS and Google Android, can also be used to access numerous other services such as Internet Radio or Qobuz.
It should also be noted that the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition is also labelled as Roon-ready.
In combination with other systems from Naim Audio Ltd., streaming in a multi-room network with centralised control is of course also possible via the aforementioned app.
Streaming directly from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets is also possible via Bluetooth, whereby aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive are supported in addition to the SBC and AAC codecs.
Interfaces for analogue and digital components
Of course, the Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition can also be used to connect a wide variety of source devices, both analogue and digital. There are two pairs of RCA sockets and two 5-pin DIN sockets for analogue sources, as well as two optical and two coaxial S/PDIF interfaces, a BNC and an HDMI ARC for digital sources. Storage media can be integrated via a USB Type A slot, which is mentioned here for the sake of completeness.
The D/A converter of the Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition, which is not described in detail, is able to process signals in Linear PCM with up to 32 bit and 384 kHz as well as DSD up to DSD128.
In addition to a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack for connecting headphones directly to the front, the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition also offers an output for connection to another stereo power amplifier, a 4-pin DIN and a line out designed as a pair of RCA sockets.
The most powerful addition to the Naim Uniti Series
To do full justice to the name Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition, the data sheet states that 250 watts of power per channel are available for speaker systems with an impedance of 4 ohms, and a further two 150 watts at 8 ohms.
The company relies on particularly efficient Class D amplifier modules, as the data sheet reveals, so there are no problems with heat dissipation despite the compact dimensions.
Elegant in appearance
It goes without saying that the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition also presents itself in its usual elegant form with a black anodised aluminium housing.
The front has several buttons, but above all a generous 5-inch colour display, and on the top you will find the tried and tested rotary wheel as a multi-function control element.
The scope of delivery also includes a remote control, which is based on ZigBee RF and works bidirectionally.
Prices and availability
According to Naim Audio Ltd, the new Naim Uniti Nova Power Edition will be available from specialist retailers from February 2024. The recommended retail price is listed at € 10.000,-.
