Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge - New Offspring of the Gold Note Vasari Cartridge Series
As the latest member of the Gold Note Vasari Cartridge Series, the Italian high-end HiFi manufacturer Gold Note now presents the new Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge, which is to be understood as a reminiscence of Norio Shibata and his Shibata Stylus developed in the 1970s.
- With the Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge, the Italian high-end hi-fi forge presents another cartridge.
At the beginning of the 1970s, Norio Shibata of JVC developed the Shibata Stylus named after him, and the latest cartridge system presented by Gold Note, the Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge, can be understood as a kind of reminiscence of this. This new cartridge system once again expands the range of the Italians in this area.
The Gold Note Vaseri Cartridge Series now includes another interesting model in addition to the Gold Note Vasari Gold and Gold Note Varari Red products.
Gold Note Vasari Cartridge Series
The Italian company Gold Note describes the solutions of the Gold Note Vasari Cartridge Series as particularly innovative pick-up systems, emphasising first and foremost the housing, which was developed using computer modelling to guarantee the highest acoustic performance. It is a highly damped housing made of a single piece of aluminium, specifically a so-called aluminium 7000 alloy. The manufacturer also states that a virtually ultra-stable and yet very light needle carrier, also made of aluminium, is used here.
Of course, all this also applies to the latest system presented with the Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge.
Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge – The almost perfect reproduction
The new Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM Cartridge is of course based on a 3.5 x 20 μm diamond with the aforementioned Shibata cut, i.e. the shape that is considered a further development of an elliptical shape and has a hybrid, asymmetrical shape with a special incision at one end.
This special shape allows for a particularly large contact surface while at the same time reducing the contact pressure on the groove of the record, which should ultimately lead to the best possible scanning of all information being guaranteed, at least that is how Gold Note describes the new Gold Note Vasari Shibata MM cartridge.
The housing, made of so-called duraluminium alloy, is discreetly black and weighs 9.5 grams. The manufacturer specifies an output voltage of 4 mV and an impedance of 500 ohms. The pick-up system should be able to reproduce a frequency range between 10 Hz and 30 kHz. The recommended terminating resistor is typically 47 kOhm and the recommended weight is 2 g.
