Firmware V1.2.96 von Eversolo – Eversolo DMP-A8 nun Roon-ready

The products of the Eversolo brand have caused an immense stir in recent months, especially the latest streaming solutions from Zidoo Technology Co. Ltd, the company behind Eversolo Audio Technology Co. Ltd, are considered to be extremely impressive due to their performance potential at extremely attractive prices. Even though the company has some exciting D/A converters in its range, most interest is focussed on the Eversolo DMP-A6, Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition and Eversolo DMP-A8 products.

A new firmware is now available for these solutions, namely firmware V1.2.96, which includes a number of detail improvements, but above all an important new feature for the Eversolo DMP-A8.

Eversolo DMP-A8 now finally Roon-ready

All streaming solutions from Eversolo Audio Technology Co. Ltd. are characterised by truly impressive support for various streaming technologies and services, with the Eversolo DMP-A6 and Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition including support for the software from Roon Labs LLC. as a Roon-ready streaming device.

The Eversolo DMP-A8 has not yet been able to boast this, and it should be noted that it took a relatively long time for the corresponding certification to finally be completed and for it to be labelled as Roon-ready. In this context, however, it should also be noted that this delay is not due to Eversolo Audio Technology Co. Ltd. but is primarily the responsibility of Roon Labs LLC…

However, with the new firmware V1.2.96, the Eversolo DMP-A8 is now Roon-ready, which will please many users and probably prompt some to finally treat themselves to this solution.

It should also be mentioned that the integrated converter in the Eversolo DMP-A8, which also has a USB port for direct connection to a PC or Mac, is now also Roon-tested.

Various other new features…

The other new features in firmware V1.2.96 are not quite as spectacular and affect all systems. For example, the manufacturer has introduced a new genre-based album listing and it is now possible to search the media library using new categories such as year and composer.

Prices and availability

The new firmware V1.2.96 for the Eversolo DMP-A6, Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition and Eversolo DMP-A8 systems should in principle be available immediately, although the manufacturer is releasing this in stages to avoid overloading the servers. The update is of course free of charge.

Getting to the point

Even though Eversolo Audio Technology Co. Ltd. lists various new features, the most important thing about the new firmware V1.2.96 for the Eversolo DMP-A6, Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition and Eversolo DMP-A8 systems is that the latter is now finally also labelled as Roon-ready.
