E.A.T. – European Audio Team is promoting its latest model in its already wide-ranging product portfolio, the EAT F-Dur Turntable, as a record player that is fully in keeping with the manufacturer’s tradition, combining timelessly elegant design with a performance of a particularly high standard.
The new EAT F-Dur turntable is based on the EAT Forte S turntable, delivering High-end performance at a particularly attractive price. The new EAT F-Dur turntable is therefore perfect for addressing a broad target group of discerning vinyl enthusiasts with audiophile demands.
Analogue technology at the highest level
The new EAT F-Dur turntable presents itself with a timelessly elegant design, the solid chassis, made of MDF, is finished in satin black. The turntable measures 550 x 250 x 440 mm and weighs an impressive 44 kg.
To guarantee the best possible decoupling, the new EAT F-Dur turntable sits on height-adjustable, TPE-damped aluminium feet.
Heavy platter
It is not least the massive platter that contributes to the high weight of the new EAT F-Dur turntable, as it is a CNC-milled aluminium platter with integrated TPE damping, which, according to the manufacturer, is perfect for absorbing resonances and thus guaranteeing clear, detailed music reproduction.
The high mass in turn ensures minimal synchronisation fluctuations thanks to its high kinetic energy. In contrast to other manufacturers, E.A.T. – European Audio Team relies on a disc with a large diameter rather than a large height, as they explicitly emphasise. This prevents any wobbling movements and instead guarantees optimum horizontal stability.
The platter rotates in an inverted bearing, which is magnetically relieved in order to easily cope with the high weight and reduce the mechanical load. A high-precision ceramic ball with high hardness is used in the centre, which ensures extremely low friction and therefore maximum smoothness and durability.
A solid bearing block is designed to dissipate any vibrations and thus also contribute to smooth running.
Two motors with precise control
The new EAT F-Dur turntable is driven by two extremely powerful AC motors, which are controlled by a precise, DC-controlled AC generator for an absolutely clean sine wave. This guarantees operation with minimal vibrations and therefore stable, distortion-free playback.
Drive belt with integrated carbon fibre
Power is transmitted between the motor and platter by means of a newly developed drive belt, which has a special design with integrated carbon fibre. This makes the drive belt conductive in order to effectively dissipate static charges.
As the manufacturer explicitly emphasises, the belt’s continuous construction without any splices ensures extremely smooth running.
EAT F-Note tonearm – At the highest audiophile level
A very important component of the new EAT F-Dur turntable is of course its tonearm. The EAT F-Note tonearm is used here, which relies on a so-called cardanic construction with four extremely low-friction precision bearings. In the premium version of the tonearm, the developers rely on diamond-polished mirrors, which act as bearing supports to minimise friction.
All important parameters such as the VTA, the VTF and the azimuth can be adjusted without tools for optimum results, so that even the most demanding vinyl lovers with a wide variety of pick-up systems get their money’s worth. An integrated laser diode is available as an aid for precise adjustment.
The manufacturer also emphasises the solid tonearm base of the EAT F-Dur turntable, which ensures effective decoupling from the turntable and the suppression of sound-damaging influences in the beginning.

The new EAT F-Dur turntable should be available from specialist retailers these days at a recommended retail price of € 6.490,-, which includes a matching leather mat for the turntable. The manufacturer recommends the EAT Jo N°5 MC cartridge as the ideal pick-up system.
