The English HiFi manufacturer Cambridge Audio has been dedicated to personal audio devices for some time now, which is why the company’s product portfolio also includes headphones from the Cambridge Audio Melomania Series. This range is now to be expanded once again with the new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones.

Cambridge Audio not only promises HiFi level sound quality for these headphones – once again talking about Great British Sound – but also unadulterated music enjoyment in noisy environments thanks to active noise-cancelling and a long battery life. Furthermore, and this is not insignificant, the new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones are to be offered at a particularly attractive price.

In-ear headphones with HiFi virtues

The new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones were developed by the same engineers responsible for the company’s classic HiFi systems, according to Cambridge Audio, emphasising that the in-ear headphones should also shine with true HiFi virtues.

This is ensured by a Class A/B amplifier circuit used in the new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones, which powers the headphones’ dynamic drivers with a diameter of 10 mm and powerful neodymium drive.

Active noise-cancelling for unadulterated music enjoyment

Integrated active noise-cancelling, i.e. active noise suppression that, according to the manufacturer, uses a hybrid combination of feed-back and feed-forward technology with external microphones to monitor ambient noise and microphones in the ear canal to achieve particularly accurate results, is designed to ensure uninterrupted music enjoyment.

Speaking of microphones, no fewer than six microphones are available for each earbud, which are of course also used for phone calls and video calls with the best voice quality.

Bluetooth 5.4 for Hi-res audio

The signal is transmitted via Bluetooth, whereby Bluetooth 5.4 is used and the codecs SBC, AAC, aptX and apt Lossless are supported, as well as LDAC. This enables signal transmission up to Hi-res audio.

The Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones also support Bluetooth Multipoint Connect, so that the headphones can be connected to several sources simultaneously and you can switch between them as required.

Simple control and easy configuration

For ease of use, the developers of the new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones also rely on touch controls in the tried-and-tested manner, which can be individually configured. The Cambridge Audio Melomania Connect app, which is available for Apple iOS and Google Android, is used for this purpose.

The Cambridge Audio Melomania Connect app can also be used to make various other settings, such as accessing a 7-band EQ, which not only offers six presets as default settings, but also allows you to save your own settings.

Different silicone ear moulds, which are included in the scope of delivery, promise a high level of wearing comfort. Finally, it should also be mentioned that the new Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones are IPX5 rated and can therefore be used in any weather conditions and for sports without any problems.

Long battery life

The battery life of the Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones is stated by the manufacturer to be up to eleven hours if active noise cancellation is not used. If this is active, up to 6,5 hours of music enjoyment should be possible. The charging case included in the scope of delivery should enable up to a further 28 hours of music enjoyment, meaning that the Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 in-ear headphones can be used for up to 39 hours away from a power socket. Thanks to the quick-charging function, just ten minutes of charging is enough to provide enough energy for a further three hours.
