Zirconia, one of the hardest materials in industrial use
Zirconia, or rather zirconium oxide, is the focus of the new Clearaudio Diamond Jubilee MC cartridge, as it is one of the hardest materials currently used by the industry, as Clearaudio electronic GmbH states.
This opens up completely new possibilities when it comes to the construction of the housing of a pickup system; a way has been found to optimally utilise the special properties of zirconia. For example, it is the hardness of the material that determines properties such as resonance stability. Sound-damaging vibrations are thus completely prevented from the outset and the best basis for a pure, unadulterated sound is created.
The choice of zirconia as a material in conjunction with appropriate manufacturing technologies also opens up completely new standards in terms of manufacturing tolerance, the manufacturer speaks of 0,001 m in this respect.

Proven technologies of the Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement V2.1

The Clearaudio Diamond Jubilee MC cartridge with its system body made of zirconium oxide and powerful coils made of 24 carat gold and neodymium magnets weighs in at 9,25 grams. The needle carrier is made of boron and a so-called Clearaudio Prime Line PLUS diamond cut is used. The needle compliance is stated by the manufacturer as 18 μ/ mN.
The frequency response of the Clearaudio Diamond Jubilee MC cartridge is said to be 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a system impedance of 50 ohms. The manufacturer specifies the output voltage as 0,6 to 0,65 mV, the channel separation as > 35 dB and the recommended tracking force as 2,8 g.
