Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo - The perfect low frequency reproduction

The topic of decoupling for the optimal presentation of a hi-fi or home cinema solution is, of course, particularly essential for those solutions that show off pure power, such as a subwoofer. This is exactly what the Italian company Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. and the subwoofer specialist Velodyne Acoustics GmbH are now addressing with the new Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo.

With the Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo, a system is to be offered that, in interaction with the subwoofers from Velodyne Acoustics GmbH based on the unique technology of Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l., guarantees perfect low-frequency reproduction at all times.

The perfect low-frequency reproduction

Velodyne Acoustics GmbH has been striving for over 40 years to develop subwoofers that are as precise as possible. Perfect low-frequency reproduction is essential when a subwoofer is used as an optimal partner for classical hi-fi solutions, but also for the reproduction of film sound in the home cinema of demanding cineastes.

Of course, subwoofers have to be designed from the ground up to meet these requirements, but sometimes accessories have to be used to prevent external interference.

This applies, for example, when difficult conditions in the floor and wall construction have to be compensated for, and thus sound-damaging vibrations have to be prevented in the best possible way.

For this task, Velodyne Acoustics GmbH has now found a partner who is very familiar with the subject, namely the Italian company Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l..

Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. specialises in the development and manufacture of outstanding hi-fi racks and hi-fi furniture, strictly on the basis of scientific findings, and also has its products tested by external bodies for their effectiveness.

In this regard, the company from Bergamo works together with the University Politecnico di Milano, whereby the institute specialises in vibration tests for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Based on the Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet

In addition to the aforementioned rack systems and hi-fi furniture, Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. also developed the so-called Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet, decoupling systems that can be used as accessories for a wide variety of tasks. These Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet now serve the Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo, developed together with Velodyne Acoustics GmbH.

Velodyne Acoustics GmbH talks about innovative decoupling feet that ensure that nothing stands in the way of cleaner, more powerful bass reproduction. Even in difficult conditions of floor and wall construction, vibrations are prevented in the best possible way and are not conducted back to the subwoofer by the subfloor. As a result, the bass sound becomes clear, defined and powerful with the elaborately manufactured stainless steel feet, according to the manufacturer’s promise.

The Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo are available in a set of four decoupling feet. To ensure that as many subwoofers as possible can benefit from the high-quality accessories, the most common sizes are included directly with the thread sizes M6, M8 M10 and additionally available 1⁄4″-20 UNC. Other threads are available on request. In addition, a lock nut is supplied for each foot to accurately compensate for any height differences on the floor.

Prices and availability

The new Velodyne Ultra Feed by Bassocontinuo will celebrate their premiere at the High End 2023 and should be available in specialist shops soon thereafter.

Getting to the point

The so-called Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet by the Italian specialist Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. are already available in various versions, that can be stated openly. Now the company from Bergamo also offers a special version for the subwoofers of the specialist Velodyne Acoustics GmbH, whereby this of course goes back to the direct connection to Audio Reference GmbH, the German distributor of Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l.. As is well known, the owner of Bassocintinuo Audio Systems S.r.l., Mansour Mamaghani, has also been the owner of Velodyne Acoustics GmbH since 2019.
