Technics SC-CX700 – First wireless HiFi speaker system from Technics
Panasonic Corporation is now also convinced that more and more customers, even in the premium segment, do not know what to do with conventional HiFi systems and would much rather opt for active speaker systems that do not compromise on quality and flexibility. This is exactly what the new Technics SC-CX700 is designed for.

The new Technics SC-CX700 Wireless HiFi Speaker System combines the legendary audio expertise of the Technics brand with elegance and style, redefining the concept of a modern consumer electronics system, according to Panasonic Corporation at the presentation of this new active speaker system at IFA 2024 in Berlin.
The new Technics SC-CX700 is in fact the first so-called Wireless Active Speaker System from the traditional Japanese brand, which is firmly convinced that it will serve the premium segment.
Designed as a plug & play system
Even though Panasonic Corp. explicitly refers to a solution that is of a very high quality level, the new Technics SC-CX700 is nevertheless a product that they would like to be understood as a plug & play system.
The user should be able to enjoy fine sound from compact active loudspeakers that can be easily integrated into any modern living environment in the simplest possible way, with access to a wide variety of sources.

Technics Orchestration Concept
According to the manufacturer, the new Technics SC-CX700 active speaker system represents the perfect combination of style and function and also offers all the technologies that Technics has developed and perfected over many years. It is said that all elements work together perfectly, whereby this is referred to as the Technics Orchestration Concept and therefore music can be presented in the best quality.
At the heart of the Technics SC-CX700 is the fully digital Technics JENO-Engine amplifier technology which, in combination with the coaxial drivers used here with Smooth Flow diaphragm and Model Based Diaphragm Control Technology in the low-mid driver and a lightweight ring tweeter, delivers a particularly fine, dynamic sound.
According to the manufacturer, the so-called Smooth Flow bass port integrates elegantly into the overall design of the active speakers and ensures rich, powerful bass.
The speakers not only have a solid construction, but also utilise Acoustic Solitude Construction, in which the electronics are installed separately from the speaker chassis to prevent any interference from the outset. The so-called Balanced Driver Mounting Architecture is designed to prevent sound-damaging vibrations, whereby the drivers are not fixed directly to the front baffle, but to a second inner wall.
Technics Space Tune is designed to ensure that the finest sound is guaranteed in any environment, as the sound is always adapted to the room acoustics, as the manufacturer promises.
Music from a wide variety of sources
As already mentioned, the possibilities for enjoying music via the new Technics C-CX700 active loudspeaker system should be particularly versatile. This starts with the integrated phono preamp, HDMI for integrating a TV set, USB-C and streaming via WiFi or integration into the network via an RJ45 Ethernet interface, with the spectrum ranging from Google Streamcast as the most flexible streaming platform possible to direct support for Spotify, Deezer, TIDAL, Amazon Music and Internet Radio.
The connection between the speakers is either wireless or via a proprietary cable with RJ45 and, if desired, a subwoofer can be brought into play via a cinch.
Of course, the user controls the system via an app, the Technics Audio Centre app for Apple iOS and Google Android, or the infrared remote control, which is part of the scope of delivery. The most important buttons for taking control of the speakers can also be found directly on the speakers.

According to the manufacturer, the new Technics SC-CX700 Wireless Speaker System will be available from specialist retailers from October 2024. The recommended retail price is listed at € 2.499,-. The design variants Black, Grey and Terracotta are available.
