Technics EAH-AZ80 in Midnight Blue

Panasonic Corporation describes the Technics EAH-AZ80 as true wireless in-ear headphones with excellent sound, first-class wearing comfort, flexible use and long battery life. Previously only available in black and silver, they are now also available in midnight blue.

Story Highlights
  • Panasonic Corporation is now offering the Technics EAH-AZ80 true wireless in-ear headphones in the new Midnight Blue design variant.

Just over a year ago, Panasonic Corporation presented the latest generation of true wireless in-ear headphones from the Technics brand, the flagship of which was the Technics EAH-AZ80. The company described this headphone model as a solution that could offer first-class sound and first-class wearing comfort, as well as a wide range of functions and a long battery life.

Panasonic Corporation is now announcing another design variant of these in-ear headphones at IFA 2024. While you previously had to choose between the black and silver versions, midnight blue is now available as a third design variant.

True wireless in-ear headphones with state-of-the-art features

The fact that the Technics EAH-AZ80 are still a worthy flagship of the Technics brand in the in-ear headphone sector is demonstrated by the features, which can still be considered state-of-the-art.

For example, drivers with a 10 mm aluminium diaphragm and DSP-based signal processing are used here, with the so-called Technics Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling Technology standing out in particular, which ensures that music is always enjoyed without interference.

For use in a professional environment, the headphones are characterised by Technics JustMyVoice Technology, which is used for the best speech intelligibility during telephone and video calls.

The signal is transmitted via Bluetooth 5.2 and the SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs, i.e. up to 24 bit and 96 kHz, provided this is supported by the source device.

The possibility of pairing the headphones with two source devices at the same time, or up to three without LDAC, should be emphasised – Bluetooth Multipoint Connection makes this possible.

For a first-class wearing experience, the Technics EAH-AZ80 feature a specially moulded housing, which the manufacturer refers to as the Concha-Fit, and which adapts to the auricle and improves stability without exerting pressure on the ears. The headphones are IPX4 certified and therefore resistant to all weather conditions and also suitable for sports.

With up to 25 hours of music playback with the charging case, you can comfortably enjoy music, take calls or participate in meetings all day long. Charging is via Qi Wireless Charging or USB-C.

Prices and availability

The Technics EAH-AZ80 in Midnight Blue are now available from specialist retailers. Of course, the previously offered design variants are also still available. The price for all colours is € 299,- each.

Getting to the point

Even though the Technics EAH-AZ80 have been available on the market for a good year now, they are still state-of-the-art solutions in the true wireless headphone sector. It is therefore pleasing that Panasonic Corporation is now presenting another design variant of this Technics brand solution at IFA 2024 in Berlin, namely the Technics EAH-AZ80 in Midnight Blue.
