It’s a partnership that began with a truly prestigious project, a Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System in the Maserati MC20 Super Sports Car, and is now set to continue in Maserati’s latest vehicle, the Maserati Grecale. Sonus Faber S.p.a. and Maserati, the traditional Italian brands are reuniting and continuing to innovate to redefine the luxury in-car experience, the two companies said in a joint release.
The Maserati Grecale is being promoted as a luxury SUV by the Modena-based Italian carmaker, with its name derived from a powerful Mediterranean wind, and it is said to be correspondingly dynamic in appearance.
Maserati Grecale – The new SUV from Maserati
With the new Maserati Grecale, the Maserati company as part of Stellantis N.V. wants to present another SUV in its range, thus providing the Maserati Levante with a somewhat smaller, but sleeker and modern alternative in this flourishing market segment.
Once again, the vehicle boasts a number of exciting design elements and is described by the Italians as the new exceptional SUV for everyday use. Like all vehicles from Maserati, it will nevertheless feature the characteristics that distinguish these vehicles, such as the use of the highest quality materials and excellent technical solutions.
Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System
And that includes a Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System, found of course in the Maserati Grecale. Following the successful partnership that began with the launch of the Maserati MC20 Super Sports Car, as previously noted, the two brands’ shared commitment to innovation, performance and Italian craftsmanship is set to continue with the new Maserati Grecale. The distinctive sound of the Maserati engine and the natural sound of Sonus Faber S.p.a. guarantee an all-encompassing audio experience, the two companies note.
Two options are offered to the buyer: the Sonus Faber Premium Sound System, which is standard on the Maserati Grecale, and the Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System as an optional extra in the accessories list.
Both systems, says Sonus Faber S.p.a, have been designed and developed in Italy. The systems are said to be made from the finest natural materials and contain the brand’s signature silk dome tweeters and paper cone midrange drivers, which provide a smooth frequency response and detailed soundstage made possible by independently driven drivers. The dynamic range of each system is delivered by a powerful Class-D dual DSP amplifier with an oversized power supply, the Italians promise.
While the Sonus Faber Premium Audio System in the Maserati Grecale boasts 860 watts of power to drive 14 speaker systems distributed throughout the car’s interior, the Sonus Faber High Premium Audio System delivers an impressive 1,285 watts to drive a whopping 21 speaker systems.
“Our team has worked with the Maserati design and development team for three years to shape every aspect of this sound system to deliver Sonus Faber’s signature Natural Sound. Our shared passion and commitment to Italian excellence is evident in the attention to detail, choice of materials and overall sophistication.”Jeff Poggi, President of Sonus Faber S.p.a.
The aforementioned natural sound characteristic of Sonus Faber S.p.a. is achieved, he says, through the expert application of key technologies combined with the design philosophy of the brand’s legendary loudspeakers by optimising the phase and amplitude alignment between the midrange and tweeter.
Sonus Faber S.p.a. technicians adjust the final voicing of the audio system by ear to ensure a consistent emotional and high-quality listening experience for the customer that is consistent with the brand’s performance standards. The result is said to be the accurate reproduction of a pure, natural sound reminiscent of a live performance – a key feature of Sonus Faber S.p.a. that will also be offered to the driver of a Maserati Grecale.
Getting to the point
It’s not just pure marketing, in fact the Sonus Faber S.p.a. and Maserati brands are probably a perfect match, as both stand for Italian luxury brands of the first order and should clearly appeal to a target group that is, at least in large part, identical. So it is only logical that the partnership that was established around the Maserati MC20 Super Sports Car is now continued with the Maserati Grecale.
