Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless – Sennheiser Signature Sound and advanced ergonomics

The latest in-ear headphones from the Sennheiser brand, which Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH is now presenting with the Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless, are designed to meet the highest demands.

Story Highlights
  • Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH describes the new in-ear headphones from the Sennheiser brand, the Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless, as a sound miracle for your pocket.

Sonova Consumer GmbH is once again expanding its range of wireless headphones, specifically in the area of true wireless in-ear headphones, as announced on the occasion of the presentation of the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless. The new headphones from the Sennheiser brand are characterised above all by their particularly appealing sound, which the manufacturer describes as Sennheiser Signature Sound.

In addition, the Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless has a new ergonomic design to guarantee maximum wearing comfort and offers many other exciting features.

Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless with Sennheiser Signature Sound

In order to guarantee a particularly appealing sound, the developers of the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless used a specially developed 7 mm True Response Driver, which is intended to provide powerful bass, natural mids and clear highs, as the manufacturer itself states for the record and in this context, as already briefly mentioned, speaks of Sennheiser Signature Sound.

These special drivers are also described as particularly low-distortion and it is pointed out that they are manufactured at the company’s plant in Tullamore, where the drivers for headphones in the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Series, Sennheiser MOMENTUM Series and other solutions in the premium segment are also produced.

Active noise cancellation for unadulterated listening pleasure

Of course, the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless also has active noise cancellation, whereby the main focus here is on reducing low-frequency noise to a minimum, so that car traffic or noise in an aircraft, for example, is suppressed particularly effectively.

The latest version of the Sennheiser Smart Control app for Apple iOS and Google Android allows users to configure a so-called Ambient Aware Mode or Transparency Mode according to their own needs and activate it by simply tapping on the earphones.

This app is also used to adjust the sound via a 5-band equaliser, whereby different presets can be created and called up at any time.

The Sound Check is also a guided preset creator, as the manufacturer calls it, to generate the best possible customised EQ profile for the user, which can be made available via the cloud on all Apple iOS and Google Android devices in the future.

The app can also be used to define the gestures that are used for control directly via the earphones.

Signal transmission via Bluetooth 5.3 including Auracast broadcast audio

The new Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless already supports Bluetooth 5.3 and therefore Bluetooth LE ex works as well as the SBC, AAC, aptX and LC3 codecs to ensure, as the manufacturer itself puts it, reliable audio quality with a long battery life. This is said to be up to eight hours, with a total of up to 28 hours available via the charging case, which can also be charged via Qi wireless charging in addition to USB-C. It should also be noted that ten minutes of charging should provide an additional hour of music enjoyment.

It should also be mentioned that the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless can be upgraded with Auracast Broadcast Audio via a firmware update to enable the direct use of corresponding audio guides in museums, for example, as well as information that will be offered via such services at airports in the future.

Best possible wearing comfort

Sonova Consumer GmbH wants to benefit directly from its parent company Sonova, a leading specialist in hearing aids, particularly when it comes to ergonomics for maximum wearing comfort.

“It’s no secret that the fit of an earphone is crucial for sound and comfort. That’s why we analysed thousands of different ear profiles during the development phase – that’s how we came up with a design that ensures a tight fit and at the same time increases wearing comfort enormously.”

Friederike Menking, Sennheiser True Wireless Product Manager

The Sennheiser ACCENTUM True Wireless comes with ear tips in four different sizes to ensure an optimal fit, which is essential for ideal bass reproduction and noise cancellation, according to the manufacturer.

“The ACCENTUM True Wireless builds on the foundation of the ACCENTUM family: exceptional sound, useful features and unbeatable value for money. We have brought these benefits together in a completely new and already award-winning design to offer our customers an optimal overall package.”

Frank Foppe, Sennheiser Product Manager True Wireless
