Roon 2.0.35 and Roon ARC 1.0.52 – Focus on connection problems with Roon ARC

The developers at Roon Labs LLC. seem to be particularly active at the moment; there is hardly a week in which they do not present new versions of their media management and multi-room Hi-res audio streaming software. The resources created by the acquisition of Roon Labs LLC. by Harman International Industries and its integration into the Harman Lifestyle Division are evidently being utilised to the full.

Roon 2.0.35 and Roon ARC 1.0.52 are now available, although these are new versions of the apps that do not bring any new features, but rather only bug fixes. They are therefore purely service releases.

Focus on possible connection problems with Roon ARC

With the current update, Roon Labs LLC. has focussed specifically on fixing any connection problems with Roon ARC. In recent weeks, a series of very targeted, incremental improvements have been made that have significantly reduced some of the problems reported by users. Roon ARC should now work much more reliably, even in more complex network infrastructures.

In addition, feedback from users has indicated that they would like more insight into the connection status of Roon ARC.

It was therefore decided to add a new diagnostics display to the Roon ARC settings page to provide exactly that.

Not to be left unmentioned is the resolution of a problem where Roon could not start playback on certain devices via Apple AirPlay.

As always, the updates are of course available free of charge for existing subscribers, with Roon 2.0.35 and Roon ARC 1.0.52 as Roon 2.0 Build 1407 and Roon Server 2.0 Build 1407 being the latest versions. Roon ARC 1.0 Build 266 is now the latest version of Roon ARC.
