The stereo integrated amplifier is designed to offer power and outstanding sound quality, making it the ideal solution for all those who want to combine the advantages of the preamplifier and power amplifier combination consisting of Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PRE and Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAM or Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAS in one unit.
The DNA of the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series in its most compact form
High-end hi-fi manufacturer Musical Fidelity describes the latest generation of the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista Series as a magical combination of power and finesse, an uncompromising solution. As already mentioned, the company recently presented the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PRE Pre Amplifier, Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAS Stereo Power Amplifier and Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAM Power Amplifier.
That the presentation of the latest preamplifier and the matching power amplifiers are only the beginning of more was probably clear to anyone who knows the high demands of the English company, especially with regard to the prestigious Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series, which are not least to the effect that the company wants to offer as broad a product range as possible. A stereo integrated amplifier as an alternative to preamplifier and power amplifier combinations is therefore virtually indispensable.
Three years of development
Musical Fidelity has announced that it has spent three years developing the latest generation of the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series. The development was also accompanied by enormous investments, as the declared goal was to develop solutions with an unprecedented quality and thus to be on an absolute reference level.
Proven Concept and Nuvistor Tubes in the Preamplifier
Once again, the new Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier is designed in such a way that the individual functional groups actually represent separate systems that have been combined here in one unit. Musical Fidelity has been using this principle for years, and it has been proven to be the basis for particularly accurate signal processing free of interfering influences.
It goes without saying that the new Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier also focuses on the so-called nuvistor tubes. These are found in the preamplifier and should essentially bring all the advantages of a tube without its disadvantages, thus allowing a particularly musical performance.
Concentrated power for optimal control of any speaker system
Of course, the stereo integrated amplifier of the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series cannot offer the power reserves that its siblings Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAS Stereo Power Amplifier and Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA PAM Power Amplifier are capable of, but with a power of 300 watts into 8 ohms per channel, the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800. 2 Integrated Amplifier doesn’t have to hide either. On the contrary, this is a solution with concentrated power that can easily control any speaker system.
Solid equipment
Once again, this stereo integrated amplifier concentrates solely on analogue sources, and that is, at least in our humble estimation, a very clever strategy. Nothing here can become obsolete or replaced by new standards.
Four pairs of RCA sockets are available for a wide variety of sources, and the new Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier also offers a Line Out and a Pre Out, also designed as RCA sockets. In addition, there is a balanced input with XLR.
For connecting the speakers, there are four pairs of solidly designed, gold-plated screw terminals at the rear.
The front features a centrally arranged dimmable OLED display, on which VU meters can be displayed for playful people. To the left and right of it are rotary encoders, one of which is used for input selection, the other for controlling the volume.
With dimensions of 483 mm in width, 510 mm in depth and 212 mm in height, the new Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier weighs an impressive 39 kg. The main reason for this is, of course, the generously dimensioned power supply, which is based on two toroidal transformers.
It is worth mentioning that the entire Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier is designed as a dual-mono system to achieve the best possible technical parameters in terms of sound quality.
But also the very, very solid aluminium cabinet contributes significantly to the weight of the system, as it has to keep the heat development of the amplifier modules in check via the side cooling elements.
Finally, it should be mentioned that an infrared remote control is part of the scope of delivery, whereby this will be a high-quality model made of metal.
Prices and availability
It is not yet clear when the new stereo integrated amplifier of the Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series will actually be available in specialist shops. However, the recommended retail price is already fixed at € 12.000,-.

It was clear that Musical Fidelity would not be content to offer only pre-amplifier and power amplifier combinations as part of the latest generation of the outstanding Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA Series, but also a stereo integrated amplifier. The company presented the new Musical Fidelity NU-VISTA 800.2 Integrated Amplifier at the High End 2023 in Munich.
