The Italian carmaker Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is particularly proud of its latest creation, the Lamborghini Temerario, which was presented for the first time at the Monterey Car Week and is described as a “Fuoriclasse”. The company is introducing a vehicle that is equipped with a 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid drive developed from scratch in Sant’Agata Bolognese, and which combines exceptional performance, driving pleasure and comfort in a super sports car.
On board is a Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System, developed by Sonus Faber S.p.a. specifically for this vehicle. This makes the new Lamborghini Temerario the second vehicle from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. to feature a Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System. The two long-established Italian companies are thus continuing the partnership they entered into only recently.
Lamborghini Temerario – A vehicle in a class of its own
Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is convinced that the Lamborghini Temerario sets new standards. As already mentioned, a newly developed 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid drive is used here, which can achieve up to 10.000 revolutions per minute and accelerate the vehicle to 100 km/h in just 2,7 seconds. The top speed is reported as 340 km/h.
The Lamborghini Temerario is the second model in the Lamborghini High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) series, after the Lamborghini Revuelto, and completes the hybridisation of the product range after the market debut of the Lamborghini Urus SE, as the manufacturer explains.
Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System
As already mentioned, the partnership between Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and Sonus Faber S.p.a. was only formed in May of this year, when the Lamborghini Revuelto was presented. This was the first vehicle to feature a tailor-made audio system from the traditional Italian loudspeaker manufacturer.
The new Lamborghini Temerario also features a sound system that has been optimised specifically for this vehicle, as the manufacturer explains.
The Lamborghini Temerario’s audio system consists of seven independent speakers, each carefully tuned to deliver the best performance and crystal-clear sound.
The system is powered by a 750-watt Class D amplifier system, and at the heart of the audio system is DSP-based signal processing to achieve an enveloping sound of the highest clarity and depth for the vehicle occupants, as Sonus Faber S.p.A. promises.
The 80 mm centre speaker, which is hidden in the dashboard and is designed as a full-range speaker and powered by 25 watts, plays a central role. Two 25 mm tweeters and two 160 mid-tone drivers, each with 40 watts and 150 watts respectively, are located in the vehicle’s doors. Two further 80 mm full-range drivers in the B-pillar of the vehicle, each with 25 watts, are available for surround sound.
Human Touch – Optimal Tuning
The human touch is the trademark of Sonus faber S.p.a., and of course this also applies to the audio system of the Lamborghini Temerario. As with any HiFi loudspeaker system, great importance was placed on incorporating the personal touch into the process. In the final phase of the project, an experienced sound engineer carefully tunes the system by listening to a variety of tracks by ear. This careful calibration ensures that the system is imbued with the true essence of Sonus Faber S.p.a., as they report.
Harmonious integration into the vehicle
It goes without saying that when integrating the Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System into the Lamborghini Temerario, care was taken to ensure that it blends harmoniously into the interior. To this end, Lamborghini’s iconic Y-pattern was adopted for the speaker covers, and the focus was on natural materials in a proven manner.
Getting to the point
It is an obvious partnership, because it unites two traditional Italian brands in the luxury segment: Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and Sonus Faber S.p.a. So it’s no surprise that, following the May 2024 premiere of the Lamborghini Revuelto, the young partnership is now being further expanded with the Lamborghini Temerario and the Sonus Faber High Premium Sound System, which is perfectly matched to it. Sonus Faber S.p.A. is once again emphasising its thoroughly prestigious commitment to the automotive sector.
