Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones – The Second Generation

At CES 2019, Klipsch introduced the Klipsch T5 Series, a completely new lineup of in-ear headphones, including the Klipsch T5 True Wireless Earphones. This year, the company again took advantage of the Las Vegas show to showcase new personal audio models. This year’s CES 2020 show featured the Klipsch T5 True Wireless Earphones’ successor, the new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones.

For some time now, the Klipsch T5 True Wireless has been the flagship of the Klipsch T5 Series. This, like the entire product line, was first introduced at the CES 2019 show in Las Vegas earlier last year. Exactly one year later, the U.S. company introduced the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Sport Earphones and Klipsch T5 True Wireless Active Noise Cancelling Smart Earphones, not only other in-ear headphones in the line, but also the successor to the Klipsch T5 True Wireless Earphones, the new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones. This was the beginning of a new generation of the series, the Klipsch T5 II Series.

While the basic features of the new model are not much different from its predecessor, there are a few significant new features that make the new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones stand out. First and foremost, this second generation Bluetooth in-ear headphone is significantly slimmer, with the manufacturer referring to it as a “slim nozzle,” the part of the headphone that slides directly into the ear canal. Another new feature is that six pairs of oval ear tips are now included in the scope of delivery. The Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones also features a slightly modified housing that “locks” into the auricle for even greater comfort.

The new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones are IP67-rated for water and dirt resistance, making these in-ear headphones virtually worry-free in any weather. They can also be easily cleaned from time to time.

Another new feature is the use of a so-called “signal-boost antenna”, which is intended to ensure a particularly reliable signal connection via Bluetooth to the source device.

Four microphones integrated into the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones are designed to ensure optimal voice quality when used as a hands-free kit or in conjunction with voice control systems such as Apple Siri or Google Assistant.

The new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones feature an impressive eight-hour battery life, a level of battery life rarely seen before in this class. In addition, the new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones also includes a matching carrying case that is reminiscent of Zippo lighters, but is designed to be much more compact than before. Of course, it has a brushed metal finish and is designed as a Power Bank. The battery integrated here provides a further 24 hours of playing time, so that a total of up to 32 hours can be played without stopping at the socket. Charging is via USB C, Qi Wireless Charging as with the other new Klipsch T5 II Series models is unfortunately not mentioned here.

The new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Earphones is not expected to be released until the summer of 2020, so buyers who have just chosen the predecessor won’t have to hold a grudge. The manufacturer has now concretized the availability information and is expecting to release in September 2020 at a suggested retail price of €199,-.

Getting to the point
