- Those who choose the new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid should be able to enjoy fine sound via the Harman Kardon Premium Audio System.
In 2021, Harman International Industries announced that it would cooperate with the French Renault Group in the automotive segment and thus with the Harman Automotive division. In the course of this partnership, a new solution can now be presented once again, namely around the Harman Kardon brand. The new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid is equipped with a Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, which is designed to provide the finest sound on the road.
The new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid is the third vehicle in Renault’s model range to feature an audio system from the renowned Harman Kardon brand, following the Renault Mégane E-Tech and Renault Austral.
Harman Automotive broadly positioned
For Harman International Industries, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Harman Automotive represents an immensely important business unit that deals with in-car entertainment systems as well as with the subject of highly complex solutions as an interface between vehicle electronics and the driver, especially with regard to the topic of autonomous vehicles.
The automotive sector thus only marginally has to do with what used to be understood by the term car hi-fi, for example, because above all technology providers such as Harman Automotive supply entire platforms for vehicle manufacturers that take over the control of the vehicle itself, thus linking the on-board computer with the entertainment system.
Harman International Industries maintains partnerships with numerous vehicle manufacturers; the Harman Kardon brand alone, positioned in the premium segment, lists companies such as Mini, BMW, Kia, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen, Volvo and Renault as references.

In the case of the new Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid, a solution is used which, according to Harman Automotive, is intended to unfold the full spectrum of music in the vehicle interior. The audio system has no less than twelve loudspeaker systems distributed throughout the vehicle interior, whereby the manufacturer itself refers to these as high-performance loudspeaker systems.
The system as a whole is said to feature the most modern technologies. Vehicle Speed Compensation, Virtual Centre Technology and the patented QLS Surround Sound (QuantumLogic Surround) are cited as further outstanding features of the new Harman Kardon Premium Audio System in the Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid.
In addition, they emphasise that the performance can always be optimally adapted to the needs of the vehicle’s occupants, with five unique sound environments specially designed for the new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid, namely Studio, Concert, Lounge, Immersion and Club.
It also goes without saying that the Harman Kardon Premium Audio System has been integrated into the design of the new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid in such a way that it blends seamlessly into the vehicle’s elegant interior.
The Harman Kardon audio system is available in the best trim level of the new Renault Espace E-Tech Full Hybrid.
