Cyrus 80 Series – High-end HiFi in full size
It's a real premiere, and quite surprising, because for the first time the English HiFi manufacturer Cyrus Audio Ltd. is focusing on full-format HiFi solutions with the brand new Cyrus 80 Series, which the company presented as the first preview at High-end 2025 in Munich.

In October 2024, Cyrus Audio Ltd. introduced the Cyrus 40 Series as a strategic realignment. This process continues with the now announced Cyrus 80 Series. For the first time, Cyrus Audio Ltd. is launching full-format HiFi components that are technically and visually similar to the Cyrus 40 Series, but offer more space for extended functions.
The products are aimed at users who prefer classic device dimensions. Cyrus Audio Ltd. is thus expanding its target group without abandoning its existing design language, as the English HiFi manufacturer emphasises.
Breaking completely new ground
The fact that Cyrus Audio Ltd. is now announcing a new full-format product line with the Cyrus 80 Series is very surprising, as the company has always been a recognised expert for elegant HiFi solutions in a compact form. The Cyrus 40 Series, which has already been described as a new chapter in the company history of Cyrus Audio Ltd, is also known to be presented in the so-called half-format.
In view of the presentation of the new Cyrus 80 Series in full format, all the more effort is now being made to dispel any doubts that the company could be turning away from its previous corporate philosophy altogether. The new Cyrus 80 Series is an extension of the range, it is by no means intended as a replacement, but rather as another option, as an alternative, according to the English company.
An alternative to existing products
According to Chris Hutcheson, Head of Marketing at Cyrus Audio Ltd, the decision is based on increased demand for standard format devices. The Cyrus 40 Series served as the basis for a strategic repositioning of the brand, the Cyrus 80 Series is now a further development that is aimed specifically at user groups that were previously not considered due to the shape of the housing.
The design of the Cyrus 80 Series is based on that of the Cyrus 40 Series, but has been adapted to full format. This means that components from both series can be combined. The larger housing surface also offers more space for technical optimisations, particularly in the area of power supply, which enables the integration of functions that could previously only be implemented via external power supply units.
Market launch November 2025
The launch of the new Cyrus 80 Series is planned for November 2025. Three new models were presented at the High-end 2025:
Probably the most important component of the new Cyrus 80 Series will be the Cyrus 80 AMP stereo integrated amplifier. This is a stereo integrated amplifier with an output of no less than 150 watts per channel in Class A/B, a special feature of which is that it has very versatile streaming functionality. How could it be otherwise, the developers naturally rely on the BluOS streaming platform developed by the Canadian company BluOS.
As a further solution in the Cyrus 80 Series, Cyrus Audio Ltd. presented the Cyrus 80 PRE in Munich, a preamplifier equipped with the same streaming functionality as the stereo integrated amplifier just described.
The Cyrus 80 PWR is a powerful power amplifier that delivers a full 200 watts per channel in Class A/B, but can also be used as a mono power amplifier in so-called bridge mode and then provides 300 watts.
As already mentioned, the solutions of the Cyrus 80 Series and the Cyrus 40 Series are deliberately designed so that the components of the two product lines from Cyrus Audio Ltd. can be freely combined, thus offering the user maximum flexibility.
Long-term transformation process of Cyrus Audio Ltd.
Managing Director Nick Clarke concludes by emphasising that the Cyrus 80 Series is part of a long-term transformation process that Cyrus Audio Ltd. is now undergoing in response to new demands in the HiFi market.

Prices and availability
A preliminary presentation was made at the High-end 2025 in Munich, the market launch, as already mentioned, is probably not planned until November 2025.
The first idea regarding pricing is that the Cyrus 80 Series solutions will probably be in a price range between GBP 5.000,- and GBP 6.000,-. However, concrete prices will only be announced around the time of the market launch.
Getting to the point
With the introduction of the Cyrus 80 Series, Cyrus Audio Ltd. is expanding its portfolio with full-format devices and is thus responding to different user preferences in terms of design and function. The technical proximity to the Cyrus 40 Series, which the British company itself described as a completely new chapter at the market launch, enables flexible system configurations without compromising on the established design concept.
