AURALiC ARIES S1 Streaming Processor and AURALiC VEGA S1 Streaming DAC now Roon Ready

Now the time has come: Roon Labs LLC. has certified the streaming solutions of the AURALiC S1 series as Roon Ready. This means that the AURALiC Aries S1 and AURALiC Vega S1 systems can be used directly in Roon without any problems and in the best quality.

Story Highlights
  • The streaming solutions of the AURALiC S1 series, the AURALiC Aries S1 and AURALiC Vega S1 systems, are now certified as Roon Ready.

AURALiC Ltd. unveiled an exciting new product line at High-end 2024 in May this year, the AURALiC S1 Series. These are solutions that offer all the technologies that have earned AURALiC Ltd. its outstanding reputation in recent years at an astonishingly attractive price.

The products AURALiC ARIES S1 Streaming Processor and AURALiC VEGA S1 Streaming DAC should, according to the manufacturer’s promise, be able to address a particularly broad target group.

AURALIC S1 Series – focussing on pure sound

The AURALiC S1 Series solutions are based on the latest technologies, first and foremost the AURALiC Tesla G3 Streaming Platform, which in turn boasts a number of outstanding innovations such as Direct Memory Access (DMA) and Direct Data Recording (DDR). In combination with other features such as a Dual Femto Clock on both systems and the new PureDAC mode and new Tone Mode settings on the AURALIC Vega S1, the AURALiC S1 Series achieves an unprecedented level of quality and sets new standards in its class.

To raise the quality level even further, both systems of the AURALiC S1 Series can be upgraded with the optional AURALiC S1 External Purer-power Supply Unit.

Extremely flexible streaming solution

The AURALiC S1 Series is, of course, once again based on the AURALiC Lightning OS, the streaming platform developed by AURALiC Ltd. specifically for streaming at the highest level and which has been continuously improved over the years.

This provides access to a wide range of content from your own network as well as online streaming services. Content can be accessed via UPnP in your own network, services such as TIDAL, Spotify, Amazon Music or Qobuz are available, and technologies such as Apple AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect are supported.

Now also Roon Ready

It has taken a little longer than expected for another key feature to actually become available, namely the ability to use the AURALiC S1 Series streaming solutions directly in Roon from Roon Labs LLC.

With immediate effect, the AURALiC ARIES S1 Streaming Processor and AURALiC VEGA S1 Streaming DAC solutions are now both Roon Ready and Roon Labs LLC. has finally completed the certification process.

Prices and availability

No action is required on the part of the user to be able to use their AURALiC S1 Series solutions with Roon. Of course, there are also no costs involved.

Getting to the point

Unfortunately, it has once again taken a little longer for the announced direct support of the media management and multi-room Hi-res audio streaming software Roon to actually be realised. It should be explicitly stated that this is not the fault of the hardware manufacturers, but of Roon Labs LLC, whose certification process as part of its partner programme sometimes takes too much time and should therefore be optimised. However, one thing is certain: the outstanding solutions from AURLiC Ltd. of the new AURALiC S1 Series, the AURALiC ARIES S1 Streaming Processor and AURALiC VEGA S1 Streaming DAC, are now also certified as Roon Ready.
