Now copper comes into play, with Astell&Kern claiming to use a strictly selected copper material with a purity of 99,98% or higher to produce a flawless cabinet.

The copper is said to have an almost breathtaking finish, but it also serves to provide the best possible shielding against sound-damaging external influences, as the manufacturer explicitly emphasises.

The new Astell & Kern A&ultima SP3000 Copper Limited Edition is a further improvement on the already remarkably high quality of the Astell & Kern A&ultima SP3000. Astell & Kern speaks of an outstanding audio performance based on a harmonious and elegant sound that allows the user to feel all the emotions of the music and to dive deeply into it.

Prices and availability

The new Astell & Kern A&ultima SP3000 Copper Limited Edition will, as the name suggests, only be available in a limited number of units, although the manufacturer does not specify in which edition this DAP will actually be produced. The price is listed by the manufacturer at US$ 3.699,-. It can be pre-ordered from 1 May 2023 and should be available from mid-May 2023.
