Advance Paris HDT800 Transmitter
To transmit audio “wirelessly” via Bluetooth is the task of the new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter, which the French company Advance Paris Sarl now presents.
Advance Paris HDT800 Transmitter is the latest solution from the French company Advanced Paris Sarl, which, as the name suggests, is another Bluetooth adapter.
Advanced Paris Sarl, or Advanced Acoustic, already has a long tradition when it comes to such solutions.
Advance Paris HDT800 Transmitter as High Definition Bluetooth Transmitter
Solutions such as the new Advance Paris HDT800 Transmitter are used to transmit audio signals via Bluetooth to various solutions. The latest addition is primarily used to send audio “wirelessly” from a TV set to Bluetooth headphones, for example, according to the French company. Of course, it is also possible to transmit signals from any audio system to others, even audio signals from a PC or Mac can be sent to a hi-fi system if they do not have Bluetooth ex works or do not provide Bluetooth in a form that is adequate for audio.
Hi-res audio via Bluetooth
One of the special features of the new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter is, as already mentioned, that it supports audio data not in lossy form, but actually in “CD quality” or even hi-res audio.
The new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter uses a RISC processor in combination with a 24-bit 120 MHz Kalimba DSP and a Qualcomm CSR 8675 SoC. This supports Bluetooth 4.2 and, in addition to the lossy codecs SBC and AAC, aptX, aptX LL and aptX HD are also possible. The maximum resolution of this solution is 24 bit and 48 kHz.
Analogue and digital inputs
Excitingly, the new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter not only has digital inputs in the form of an optical and coaxial S/PDIF interface, but also an analogue input. This is designed as a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack. A USB port in the form of a micro USB interface is available for connection to a PC or Mac.
This USB port is, of course, also used to power the Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter.
Extremely compact solution
How could it be otherwise, of course, the new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter presents itself as an extremely compact solution. With a width of 70 mm, a depth of 66 mm and a height of only 20 mm, it will easily find its place anywhere.
It is interesting to note that normally such solutions manage almost completely without operating elements, only a paring button is necessary. Here, too, you will find this, of course, but also a standby button and a high def button, all equipped with status LEDs. Status LEDs are also available for aptX and aptX LL.
Getting to the point
Once again, a simple but very practical Bluetooth transmitter has come out of France. Advance Acoustic and Advance Paris have been dedicating themselves to these accessory solutions for years. The new Advance Paris HDT800 transmitter can score with the support of hi-res audio at least up to 24 bit and 48 kHz, furthermore with sufficient digital and even an analogue input.
