4.000 visitors in the concert hall of Audio Reference GmbH at High End 2025

It was a resounding success: German distributor Audio Reference GmbH gave no fewer than 4,000 visitors to High End 2025 a very special experience, namely the pleasure of listening to a perfectly tuned HiFi system of the highest standard, worth around three million euros.

Story Highlights
  • No fewer than 4,000 visitors came to High End 2025 to experience the finest HiFi system at Audio Reference GmbH.

As an exhibitor at an international trade fair, you can present yourself and your own solutions in a wide variety of ways, and the German company Audio Reference GmbH has been demonstrating how to do this most impressively at the High-end in Munich for many years. The company headed by Managing Director Mansour Mamaghani is a distributor for a number of internationally renowned brands, starting with Amina Sound, Bassocontinuo, Dan D’Agostino, dCS, KRELL, Meridian Audio, Millennium, Nordost, Perlisten, Starke Sound, Velodyne Acoustics, Vicoustic, VPI Industries, VTL and Wilson Audio.

Every year, Audio Reference GmbH presents all these brands in the best possible light at the trade fair. This year, however, they wanted to set a very special example. In addition to the already outstanding product presentation in an exclusive living room atmosphere, the most exclusive HiFi system ever presented at a HiFi trade fair was to be experienced in a specially designed concert hall and based on the finest components from Audio Reference GmbH’s exclusive brand portfolio.

Not a listening room, but rather a concert hall…

Especially for the presentation of the exclusive High-end HiFi system, the Audio Reference GmbH team, in collaboration with its partners, created a complete concert hall in the M. O. C. Munich for the presentation of the exclusive high-end hi-fi system.

In addition, no effort was spared in realising a room that also offers the best conditions in terms of acoustics so that the potential of the audio system can actually be appreciated.

An audiophile synthesis of the arts

Audio Reference GmbH emphasised in advance that it was by no means a question of simply exhibiting a system at the highest possible price. The declared aim was solely to make a true statement, to provide a reference of what High-end HiFi can actually offer when experts can combine what they consider to be the best solutions into a new whole without compromise.

At the centre of the presentation were two acoustic masterpieces, as Audio Reference GmbH quite rightly described the loudspeaker systems in advance, namely the impressive Wilson Audio WAMM Master Chronosonic from the renowned US High-end loudspeaker manufacturer Wilson Audio Specialties Inc. As if these speakers weren’t impressive enough on their own, they were supported in Munich by two powerful Wilson Audio Thor’s Hammer subwoofers right into the subsonic range.

Initially, the source devices were solutions from Data Conversion Systems Ltd., the noble dCS Vivaldi, as well as a particularly impressive turntable from VPI Industries, which, according to Audio Reference GmbH, could demonstrate the sonic potential of vinyl.

Amplification was provided by four monoblocks from Dan D’Agostino, namely the D’Agostino Relentless Power Amplifier, driven by the D’Agostino Relentless Preamplifier – a statement in terms of power and control, as explicitly stated by the distributor.

Nordost supplied the appropriate cabling with the uncompromising Nordost Odin Series cables. This exceptional setup was presented on the elegant racks from Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l., which set new standards both acoustically and visually.

Immense rush handled via ticket portal

In order to be able to cope as well as possible with the crowds that were naturally expected in advance, rtfm GmbH set up a ticket portal especially for the trade fair days on behalf of Audio Reference GmbH, which interested parties could use to secure free tickets for the exclusive demonstrations in advance. This ensured that the listening room could be utilised effectively throughout the days of the trade fair, giving as many interested parties as possible the opportunity to experience this unique event. Audio Reference GmbH is pleased to report that around 4.000 enthusiastic visitors attended the event over the course of the trade fair.

“Our aim was not only to present the latest products to trade fair visitors, but also to arouse real emotions during music playback. The fantastic response shows us that we struck a chord with the public with this presentation, which set new standards both acoustically and visually. Our expectations were exceeded by far.”

Getting to the point

Once again, Mansour Mamaghani, Managing Director of Audio Reference GmbH, and his entire team deserve immense credit for putting so much effort into a trade fair, as they have been doing for years at the High-end in Munich with a unique, living room-like presentation. This year, there was also the fact that they wanted to make a real statement and show what High-end HiFi without compromise can actually mean. The company took the opportunity to realise a sophisticated high-end HiFi system together with the renowned international high-end HiFi manufacturers that it distributes in this country. What they realised together was outstanding and truly unparalleled, so we are convinced that the presentation by Audio Reference GmbH in Munich at High-End 2025 will probably remain the undisputed standard for such projects…
