- Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. and Sonus Faber S.p.a. have announced a new partnership with the aim of developing outstanding solutions.
Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. is renowned for its outstanding quality HiFi rack systems made in Italy. Sonus Faber S.p.a. is probably Italy’s best-known loudspeaker manufacturer, whose exclusive solutions also stand for Italian craftsmanship. It is therefore only natural that these two companies have now entered into a partnership. The High End 2025 in Munich was used to announce this on a large scale.
The declared aim of this partnership is to design rack solutions from the B Bassocontinuo Collection and Bassocontinuo Classic Line product ranges that fit perfectly with the speaker systems from Sonus Faber S.p.a. down to the last detail.
Pure Italian audio excellence
The two companies say that the new partnership will open up completely new perspectives for solutions in the HiFi Luxury sector, referring to Pure Italian Audio Excellence.
The premise of the collaboration between Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. and Sonus Faber S.p.a. is the combination of refined Italian design, flawless high-end performance and, above all, traditional Italian craftsmanship.
Together, they want to create something special, a collection of tailor-made racks that seamlessly complement the aesthetics of Sonus Faber S.p.a.’s legendary loudspeaker systems, thereby enhancing the entire HiFi chain and setting it off to its best advantage in any exclusive living environment.
But first-class design is not everything, of course. All the outstanding technologies for efficient isolation from sound-impairing influences, which Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. relies on, form the decisive basis for ensuring that the rack systems, designed in collaboration with Sonus Faber S.p.a., can meet the highest standards of sound quality.
Perfectly coordinated down to the very last detail
Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. has already been offering the option of customising rack systems to the customer’s specifications within its B Bassocontinuo Collection, and of course versions perfectly matched to the loudspeaker systems from Sonus Faber S.p.a. were also available.
Now, however, it is official that Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. is producing racks that replicate the design language of Sonus Faber S.p.a. one-to-one. What’s more, customers can now rely on the same suppliers, meaning that even the smallest details of the different design variants of the loudspeaker systems can be reproduced in the racks from Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l.
Five new rack variants – Bassocontinuo Classic Line Sf edition and B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition
The partnership between Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. and Sonus Faber S.p.a., which was initiated in 2024 and has now been officially announced, is reflected right from the start in five new rack systems.
The racks designed specifically for Sonus Faber S.p.a. loudspeaker systems are available in two product lines, the Bassocontinuo Classic Line and the B by Bassocontinuo Collection. The custom-made products are called Bassocontinuo Classic Line Sf edition and B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition.
Bassocontinuo Classic Line Sf edition
The Bassocontinuo Classic Line Sf edition is available for all Bassocontinuo Classic Line solutions and can be expanded at any time as desired. The focus here is specifically on the speaker systems of the Sonus Faber Sonetto Collection.
As a result, shelf bases in matt black lacquer and insert panels in matt wenge or walnut are used, which are sourced directly from Sonus Faber S.p.a. to ensure they perfectly match the respective design variants of the speakers. The basic construction of the rack is made of solid stainless steel with a black lacquer finish.
B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition
The rack systems in the B by Bassocontinuo Collection in the form of the new B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition are designed for the speaker systems in the Sonus Faber Homage Collection, such as Sonus Faber Amati, Sonus Faber Serafino and Sonus Faber Guarneri, as well as for the Sonus Faber Lilium, Sonus Faber Aida, Sonus Faber Il Cremonese and Sonus Faber Suprema, i.e. the Sonus Faber Reference Collection.
Here, too, all available rack variants from the B by Bassocontinuo Collection can be ordered in the new B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition and, of course, expanded at any time as desired.
The shelves are covered in genuine leather using the most elaborate handcrafting techniques, with hand-stitched seams matching the rear shelf covers. Glossy insert panels are used, which are manufactured by Sonus Faber S.p.a. in their own carpentry and paint shop to fit the speaker systems perfectly. Metal strips on each shelf and a solid stainless steel construction in silver complete the elegant design concept. The B by Bassocontinuo Sf edition is available in Graphite, Wenge and Red High Gloss finishes.
Prices and availability
The new racks, developed by Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. in collaboration with Sonus Faber S.p.a., are expected to be available to order in the next few days. These are custom-made solutions, so prices will vary depending on the configuration.
