- Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. will divide the products of the Essenza by Bassocontinuo brand into two product lines, Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line and Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line.
Last year, the Italian company Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. surprised visitors at High-end 2024 with the presentation of a completely new brand. The rack specialist from Bergamo announced its intention to serve the entry-level segment with essenza by Bassocontinuo solutions in future, explicitly emphasising that quality would continue to be the top priority and that a great deal of development work would be devoted to achieving a very affordable price point without having to abandon the company’s proven virtues. The concept is therefore to make handmade HiFi racks of high quality, also ‘Made in Italy’, accessible to as broad a customer base as possible.
The essenza PROTON Tower Rack and essenza QUARK Power Amplifier Stand solutions were presented at the launch and were recently rounded off with the essenza Vinyl Shelf. Now, however, the range of HiFi racks is being reorganised, the product portfolio is being significantly expanded and two new product lines are being introduced: Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line and Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line, as announced at High-end 2025 in Munich.
Two new collections – Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line with familiar solutions
The declared aim of the new structure in the product portfolio is to broaden the product range in order to address even more customers. The manufacturer emphasises that the Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line includes the previous product range of the Essenza by Bassocontinuo brand, i.e. the essenza PROTON Tower Rack and essenza QUARK Power Amplifier Stand solutions.
essenza NEUTRON Audio-Video Rack
New, however, is the essenza NEUTRON Audio-Video Rack system, which is essentially a doubled version of the essenza PROTON Tower Rack and, as the name suggests, is specially designed as a solution for the TV set in the living room.
Completely new products – Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line
The second collection, Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line, is completely new, emphasising that it is not just a collection, but a new idea, a new concept. The products in the Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line are intended to be an example of what a rack can be in the entry-level segment. Key elements have been completely redesigned or further improved in important areas.
The systems in the Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line feature a new design, including HDF shelves with a particularly elegant stone look and 3D structure. This not only guarantees an elegant look, but also an appealing feel. This is combined with a black lacquered steel construction as the base of the racks.
A particularly effective insulation system is used here in the tried and tested manner, which has of course once again been confirmed by an independent body. The company co-operates with Vicoter, an independent test laboratory based in Milan.
The racks are designed in such a way that they can also be used for larger, heavier components without any problems, as the manufacturer explicitly emphasises. Each level should be able to support up to 45 kg.
The manufacturer also mentions height-adjustable spikes and floor-protecting discs that guarantee easy assembly.
Two new models – Essenza SIRIUS Tower Rack and Essenza PROXIMA Power Amplifier Stand
The Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line includes the models Essenza SIRIUS Tower Rack and Essenza PROXIMA Power Amplifier Stand. It goes without saying that the basic configuration can be extended with additional levels.
Prices and availability
The Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line and Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line systems should already be available from specialist retailers these days, especially the Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line solutions, which represent the existing product range. But you won’t have to wait too long for the completely new Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line either, as the Italians stated during the presentation at High-end 2025 in Munich.
Getting to the point
It is extremely pleasing that the Italian rack specialist Bassocontinuo Audio Systems S.r.l. has decided to significantly push the entry-level segment in particular via its Essenza by Bassocontinuo brand, which will be able to present two exciting product lines in the future. The two collections Essenza by Bassocontinuo Genesis Line and Essenza by Bassocontinuo Vanguard Line are now available for discerning, but also price-sensitive customers.
