Shanling MG20 Earphones - With 3.5 mm jack or USB-C

The Shanling company has been known for years for bringing attractively priced solutions to market in the personal audio devices sector. However, the latest headphones are set to attract particular attention, once again due to what the manufacturer considers to be an especially attractive price-performance ratio.

The new Shanling MG20 earphones are positioned as a solution for under $ 50,-, sometimes even significantly less, because the version with just a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack is already on sale for $ 39,-, while the model of the new in-ear headphones with a USB-C connector costs just $ 46,-.

Low budget, but adequate quality

Shanling is convinced that they want to set new standards in the price range below $ 50,-, because ultimately this will raise the quality of the entire market. Shanling has succeeded in incorporating features into the new Shanling MG20 that are normally only found in solutions that cost significantly more.

The Shanling MG20 features dynamic drivers with a diameter of 10 mm with a special coating (Diamond-like Carbon Plated Diaphragm), a so-called Dual N52 Magnet System Construction and a pure copper voice coil.

The drivers are packed in a housing made entirely of metal, an aluminium-zinc alloy. An ergonomic design, in combination with ear tips in three different sizes, ensures comfortable use.

Cable with 3,5 mm stereo mini-jack or USB-C

Particularly noteworthy here is that the new Shanling MG20, as already indicated, is offered in two versions, namely analogue and digital, if you will. The customer can choose between an oxygen-free copper version with a 3,5 mm stereo mini-jack plug and a USB-C connector. In the second case, an A/D converter in miniature format is integrated, which converts audio signals at 24 bits and 96 kHz. A cable remote control with three buttons and an integrated microphone for phone calls is also available in this version.

In any case, the cable ends in a 0.78 mm 2-pin connector, so it can be removed and replaced at any time.

Prices and Availability

The new Shanling MG20 should be available in stores soon. It will be offered in black, silver and titanium grey. The price for the version with a 3,5 mm stereo mini jack is listed at $ 39,- and $ 46,- for the version with a USB-C connector.
