Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 Sound Platform as the basis
At the heart of the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is the so-called Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 Sound Platform from the specialist Qualcomm Inc. This SoC (Silicon-on-a-chip) is in turn based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform and thus combines a number of important functions, such as data transmission using the latest Bluetooth module and various DSP algorithms. Accordingly, the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 naturally also relies on Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound Technology, which is part of this platform.
From a purely technical point of view, the main component of the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is a Qualcomm QCC5181 WLCSP, which is designed as a 32-bit programmable CPU and also features the Qualcomm Kalimba Programmable DSP.
Bluetooth 5.4
When it comes to signal transmission, Bluetooth 5.4 is available here, including LE Audio and Auracast Broadcast Audio. The signal is transmitted using the SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless or aptX Audio codecs.
Integrated adaptive noise cancellation
It should also be emphasised that active, adaptive noise cancellation is also offered here using Qualcomm Active Noise Cancellation Technology, which is part of the platform.

Thanks to the revised battery system, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is characterised by a further optimised battery life of up to 7.5 hours of uninterrupted music enjoyment. The scope of delivery naturally includes a matching case that acts as a power bank. It can be charged either via Qi wireless charging or USB-C, the latter of which also allows fast charging, which means that hours of music enjoyment are available again after just a few minutes.

The new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 will be available from specialist retailers in February 2024 at a recommended retail price of € 299,99, according to the manufacturer. These new headphones will be available in Black Copper, Metallic Silver and Graphite.
