Record Player by Michell now by Input Audio HiFi Vertrieb

Record players of the Michell brand have enjoyed an impeccable reputation for years, especially on the domestic market, where this company is a true great. Input Audio HiFi Vertrieb now wants to ensure that the solutions from England also gain in importance in this country.

Story Highlights
  • The solutions of the long-established English record specialist Michell are now looked after by Input Audio as a new distributor.

It is quite exciting that Michell is a brand that is known to only a few people in this country and has thus been a kind of insider tip among record lovers for years. It is exciting because Michell is a manufacturer from England with a long tradition, one of the best-known in its home market and thus a constant in the highly competitive market segment of record players.

The company Input Audio HiFi Vertrieb from Gettorf, a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförd, will ensure that the Michell brand becomes better known in Germany.

J. A. Michell Engineering Limited, a company with a long tradition

J. A. Michell Engineering Limited is actually the full name of the English hi-fi manufacturer, which was previously known as Michell Engineering, but only recently changed its name to Michell in order to generate a more distinctive brand – sempre-audio.at reported.

Michell has always seen itself as a technology-driven company, this has been the principle that the company’s founder, John Michell, set out when he founded the company in the 1960s, and which he has lived by over the decades, and which has been reflected in the products that have been brought onto the market over all these years. The company started out as an OEM manufacturer for other companies, before gradually designing its own products in the 1970s, with great success.

The company claims to have played a decisive role in the development of record players and related areas over the decades, on the one hand through technological developments in general, and on the other hand through outstanding turntables, whereby it is striking that the company pursues a very traditional product philosophy and has been offering solutions for a very, very long time.

For example, the company lists the Michell GyroDec turntable from 1982, the Michell Orbe turntable from 1995, the Michell Gyro SE turntable from 1995 and the Michell Orbe SE turntable from 2006. All these solutions are said to have set standards and the company is convinced that they are legendary solutions.

The company’s founder passed away in 2003, but the company is still family-owned and has made plans for the re-branding of Michell Engineering to Michell. Numerous new products are to be presented this year.

Input Audio new Michell distributor

Of course, this would play into the hands of the new distributor Input Audio to make the brand better known in this country and to be able to inspire new customers with the solutions of the Englishman.

Getting to the point

It is very pleasing that the products of the English record specialist Michell have now found a new distributor in the German company Input Audio. A. Michell Engineering Limited can be seen as a real enrichment of the market.
