The Raidho Acoustics brand from Dantax Radio A/S is celebrating its 25th birthday this year, a memorable event that represents a quarter of a century of uncompromising acoustic craftsmanship, as the Danes emphasise. They continue to push the boundaries of sound reproduction through tireless research and the combination of state-of-the-art materials with Danish craftsmanship.
To celebrate this, Dantax Radio A/S is now presenting a very special loudspeaker system, the Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition. No more than 100 pairs of this extraordinary system will be produced.
Based on the Raidho X Series
The so-called Raidho X Series is a very special product line of the Raidho Acoustics brand, which perfectly embodies the spirit of the brand just described – tireless research, state-of-the-art materials and Danish craftsmanship – so that we are talking about eXtreme Performance here.
The Raidho X Series utilises the latest generation of Raidho Acoustics’ ribbon tweeter, for example, as well as the Ceramix woofer with tantalum coating.
According to the manufacturer, a special model in the Raidho X Series is the Raidho X2, which is one of Raidho Acoustics’ best-selling speaker systems in all its variants. It was therefore decided to use this model as the basis for the 25th anniversary system.
Raidho Ribbon Tweeter – planar-magnetic ribbon tweeter
As already mentioned, the new Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition utilises Raidho Acoustics’ proprietary planar-magnetic ribbon tweeter, a Raidho Ribbon Tweeter, which is based on a foil that is only 11 µm thick. This means that only 20 mg of mass has to be moved, resulting in an immensely high resolution.
Raidho Ceramix woofer with tantalum coating
Two 5.25-inch Ceramix drivers are available here, which, according to the manufacturer, are based on a sandwich construction with aluminium and ceramic with a tantalum coating. This allows exceptional rigidity to be achieved with minimal mass for a particularly pure midrange and a particularly deep bass.
2.5-way system with bass reflex
The advantages of two- and three-way systems are combined here, as emphasised by Dantax Radio A/S, by taking the middle way and relying on a 2.5-way bass reflex system.
The Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition, with its dual woofers and mid/high frequency bands, combined with an internal bass reflex port on the rear panel, is said to offer an outstanding musical performance with maximum accuracy.
This is also ensured by a hand-wired point-to-point crossover equipped with high-end capacitors, coils and resistors from Mundorf as well as the internal cabling, which uses Nordost Norse cables.
In terms of technical data, this means that the new Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition is a 2.5-way bass reflex system equipped with a Raidho planar-magnetic ribbon tweeter and two 5.25 Raidho Ceramix woofers with tantalum coating and can reproduce a frequency range between 40 Hz and 50 kHz, with the crossover starting at 130 Hz and 3.4 kHz. With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 87 dB, the speaker system is designed for amplifiers with an output of between 50 and 300 W. The Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition measures 300 mm in width, 1.064 mm in height and 415 mm in depth, weighing in at 23 kg.
Prices and availability
As mentioned, there will be no more than 100 pairs of the Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition, with each pair being labelled with a corresponding serial number. The Raidho X2t 25th Anniversary Edition will be available from September 2025 at a recommended retail price of € 21.000,- per pair in Walnut and € 23.000,- in Emerald Green and Midnight Blue.
