It uses a hybrid construction combining an efficient switching power supply with Class AB power amplification. According to the manufacturer, the discrete design with MOSFET transistors is intended to combine high power reserves, dynamic behaviour and precise impulse handling.

The Nubert nuPower A-2 Ambient Line is designed for both stereo and mono operation. The Nubert nuControl X-c Ambient Line is conceived as a compact streaming preamplifier for stereo and multichannel applications. It is intended to offer high processor performance, versatile adjustment options, differentiated channel control and individually storable presets. A 6 inch front display with touch operation, a network connection with pass-through function and a front headphone output are also planned.

Particularly interesting is its role as a compact 12-channel switching and control centre. According to Nubert electronic GmbH, the Nubert nuControl X-c Ambient Line supports the 7.1.4 standard coverage of Dolby Surround, which moves it beyond conventional stereo use and into more modern multichannel installations.
