New at IFA 2022 – Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer

Once again, Yamaha Music Europe GmbH is expanding its range of soundbar systems with a particularly compact, elegant as well as versatile model, the new Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer, which will be presented for the first time at IFA 2022 in Berlin.

Yamaha Music Europe GmbH is using IFA 2022 to present the new Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer for the first time. The Japanese consumer electronics group is thus once again expanding its range of sound bar systems with another model, with the focus here specifically on particularly simple and discreet integration into the living environment. The company therefore refers to the new Yamaha SR-C30A as a particularly slim, elegant and yet extremely versatile solution.

Yamaha SR-C30A – Great sound in a small space

Soundbar systems are by far the easiest solution for providing great sound when watching TV, so it’s no wonder that this has been a thriving market for years, and one in which Yamaha Music Europe GmbH plays a crucial role with a wide range of products.

Yamaha Music Europe GmbH can boast of having driven a multitude of innovations in the field of soundbar systems. Some of them can also be found in the new Yamaha SR-C30A, which, as the manufacturer promises, provides great sound in the smallest space.

Classic combination of soundbar and subwoofer

As is often the case in soundbar systems, the new Yamaha SR-C30A is also based on the combination of the actual soundbar plus a subwoofer, whereby the latter is of course controlled via radio for particularly easy integration into the living environment, so that only a socket in the immediate vicinity of the subwoofer is required, but no cable connection to the soundbar.

Actually very compact dimensions

When Yamaha Music Europe GmbH talks about the new Yamaha SR-C30A being a very compact, slim solution, this means in numbers dimensions of 600 mm in width, 64 mm in height, and 94 mm in depth when it comes to the soundbar. The subwoofer also only has dimensions of 355 x 164 x 364, so it is also quite compact. While the soundbar only weighs 1,3 kg, the subwoofer weighs 5,7 kg.

Yamaha True Sound

Also the new Yamaha SR-C30A is to correspond to the philosophy Yamaha True Sound specified by Yamaha Music Europe GmbH for quite some time, whereby the manufacturer speaks here of a room-filling, full sound and promises in particular a clear presentation of voices and a particularly sovereign illustration in the bass range.

One paid special attention with the development of the new Yamaha SR-C30A to guarantee an optimal radiation into the area, likewise a perfect tuning, so that the user can immerse completely into the sound, so the promise of the manufacturer.

The Yamaha SR-C30A is capable of decoding signals in Dolby Pro Logic II and Dolby Digital, and features technologies such as Yamaha Clear Voice, as well as four sound modes (Stereo, Standard, 3D Movie and Games).

The Yamaha SR-C30A has two 4.6 cm full-range drivers in the actual soundbar for the left and right channels, which are powered by two times 20 watts. The subwoofer has a 13 cm woofer, which has 50 watts of power available.

HDMI, S/PDIF, analog and Bluetooth

The connection to the TV is of course established via HDMI, with ARC (Audio Return Channel) and HDMI CEC supported. In addition, the soundbar has two optical S/PDIF interfaces and an analog input is also available in the form of a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack.

A network integration is not provided in this class, but Bluetooth is. A Bluetooth 5.0 module with support for the Bluetooth profile A2DP and the codecs SBC and AAC is used. Mobile devices like smartphones and tablets can be used as a source to directly access various streaming services.

Remote control or app for smartphone

The Yamaha Sound Bar Remote app is also available via Bluetooth, which allows control via smartphone with Google Android or Apple iOS in addition to simple control via the remote control of the TV (HDMI CEC), control via the remote control included in the scope of delivery.

Prices and availability

The new Yamaha SR-C30A is, as described in the introduction, to celebrate its premiere at the IFA 2022 in Berlin. After that, you should also be able to find the new soundbar in stores quite quickly, at a suggested retail price of € 379,-.

Getting to the point

Once again, Yamaha Music Europe GmbH is expanding its range of soundbar systems, this time in the form of the new Yamaha SR-C30A by a particularly slim and compact solution, which can thus be flexibly integrated into any living environment and still come up with rich sound. Yamaha Music Europe GmbH sends with it, this can be stated under the bottom line, the extended version of the Yamaha SR-C20A already on the market into the race, which had to do without an additional subwoofer controlled by radio in contrast to the new Yamaha SR-C30A.
