Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 – HMDI 2.1 upgrade for two more systems

With the Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 systems, SL Audio A/S now offers an HDMI 2.1 upgrade for two further systems, namely two multichannel processors of the brands Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf. Once again, this HDMI 2.1 upgrade will not only be offered to new customers, but also to existing customers from March 2023 to bring their systems up to date.

High priority for HDMI 2.1

SL Audio A/S can justifiably boast that it was one of the first manufacturers in the home cinema sector to focus on HDMI 2.1. For example, SL Audio A/S already offered HDMI 2.1 with the Lyngdorf MP-60 Multichannel Processor in January 2021, which has since been available as the Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1. Similarly, the Steinway & Sons P300 is now available as Steinway & Sons P300 2.1. This means that HDMI 2.1 has been available for quite some time with the two flagship systems of the Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf brands from SL Audio A/S.

The special feature is that SL Audio A/S not only offers the HDMI 2.1 upgrade for new systems, but also for existing customers. This means that customers can upgrade a Lyngdorf MP60, for example, and even the Lyngdorf MP-50 is ready for an HDMI 2.1 upgrade.

Only recently, SL Audio A/S announced that they will offer the flagship of Lyngdorf Audio, the Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 Digital Amplifier with HDMI 2.1, starting in March 2023, and that they will also offer a corresponding HDMI 2.1 upgrade for existing customers.

HDMI 2.1 Upgrade for Lyngdorf MP40 and Steinway & Sons P100

As already mentioned in the introduction, the Lyngdorf MP40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 systems now have a new HDMI board that meets the latest standards. First of all, this means that the systems have two HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs. Naturally, the HDMI 2.1 interfaces support content at 8K/ 50Hz or 8K/ 60 Hz and 4K/ 100Hz as well as 4K/ 120 Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate Modes (VRR), Static and Dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.3. The HDMI output supports HDMI CEC for central control in the proven manner and is designed as eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel).

In summary, SL Audio A/S now offers the following Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf branded systems with HDMI 2.1 upgrade: Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 Multichannel Processor with RoomPerfect and 12 Channel Decoding, Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 Multichannel Processor with RoomPerfect and 16 Channel Decoding, Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 Digital Stereo Amplifier with RoomPerfect and optional HDMI 2. 1 module, as well as the Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 Multichannel Processor with RoomPerfect and 10 Channel Decoding and the Steinway & Sons P300 2.1 Multichannel Processor with RoomPerfect and 16 Channel Decoding.

Prices and availability

As already mentioned, the Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 should be available from March 2023. At that time, the manufacturer will also offer the corresponding HDMI 2.1 upgrade for existing customers.

Getting to the point

SL Audio A/S is gradually delivering all systems of the Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf brands with HDMI 2.1 upgrade, now the Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 solutions will follow in March 2023. Here, too, customers who call the previous version of these systems their own will be able to perform an HDMI 2.1 upgrade. This can undoubtedly be described as perfect customer service and long-term investment security.
