Lenbrook Group of Companies forms Lenbrook Media Group

Lenbrook International, part of the Lenbrook Group of Companies, has been regarded as one of the leading consumer electronics groups for many years, with renowned brands such as NAD Electronics, PSB Speakers, Bluesound Professional and Bluesound International belonging to the Canadian company. In this respect, the announcement in September 2023 that Lenbrook Group of Companies was to take over the ailing company MQA Ltd. including all technologies and patents such as MQA, but also SCL6, as well as a large part of the workforce and the site in England, was a real bombshell.

It is probably also surprising that the Lenbrook Group of Companies has now announced the establishment of a new business unit, the Lenbrook Media Group, in the run-up to CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Its task will not only be to market the new technologies acquired with MQA Ltd. such as MQA and SCL6, but also the BluOS streaming platform. A task for which BluOS – A Division of Lenbrook Industries Limited, based in Ontario, Canada, was previously responsible.

For more efficient marketing of technologies

The Lenbrook Group of Companies has stated that the newly formed Lenbrook Media Group will more effectively drive the commercialisation and development of Lenbrook’s content management solutions and pursue new opportunities.

With the BluOS content management platform at its core, this group will also oversee the growth of content encoding solutions MQA and SCL6, which the Canadian group acquired with MQA Ltd. in autumn 2023, as previously described.

The newly formed Lenbrook Media Group will be led by Mike Jbara as Vice President and General Manager, according to the Group. Mike Jbara was CEO of MQA Ltd. and Warner Music Executive.

Getting to the point

Just as surprising as the acquisition of MQA Ltd. by Lenbrook Group of Companies is the reorganisation of important technologies of the Canadian group under the newly formed Lenbrook Media Group. Under the leadership of the former CEO of MQA Ltd., not only the development and marketing of technologies such as MQA and SCL6 is to be accelerated here, but also the BluOS Hi-res Multiroom Platform.
