According to the manufacturer, the new Lake People HPA 101 Phone-Amp is based on the Lake People G103 Phone-Amp, which in its various versions is one of the solutions that form a kind of reference in the field of headphone amplifiers and which has contributed significantly to the outstanding reputation of the company from Lake Constance. The development of this system began back in 1994, so there is no doubt that the technology is fully developed in every respect.
Accordingly, the new Lake People G101 Phone-Amp is a headphone amplifier with minimal noise, high voltage and power at the output as well as a strong damping factor to ensure a flawless sound.
Very compact, extremely robust design
The Lake People G Series headphone amplifier is not only very compact, measuring no more than 108 x 125 x 41 mm, the black anodised aluminium housing also effectively protects the electronics from sound-damaging interference and is also extremely resistant to mechanical influences.
Reduced to the essentials
As far as the connections are concerned, this solution has been reduced to the essentials, but nothing is missing. In addition to the volume control, designed as a high-quality Alps potentiometer, the main switch and the connections for headphones are available on the front, namely a 3,5 mm stereo mini jack and a 6,3 mm stereo jack. In terms of inputs, this solution offers a pair of RCA sockets and a USB-C interface, although this is only used to supply power via the external power supply unit. The pre-gain selector switch is also located here.
