EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC Headset – Grand Prix level performance
Described by EPOS as a headset with exceptional audio performance, the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC is the first solution to emerge from the partnership signed with the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team.
A sleek, modern headset is to be available with the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC, the company EPOS is convinced. It is said to offer excellent speech intelligibility, adaptive noise cancellation and exceptionally long battery life, making it a communication and collaboration tool.
It is also the first product to emerge from a partnership EPOS has signed with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team.
Partnership of EPOS with Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team
Like many other audio manufacturers, EPOS is now partnering with a Formula One team, namely the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team. This is supposed to be a multi-year partnership, as EPOS states on record. The new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC will be co-branded, as will future products, it said.
“We are particularly excited to launch the ADAPT 660 AMC headset under the EPOS x Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One co-branding. It represents the next step in our journey with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One team and is a milestone in bringing Grand Prix level technology to market. Motorsport today is about much more than speed. It’s about pushing the envelope through technology, innovation and cutting-edge engineering. We are very excited to now be able to offer this product to fans who are looking for high-end audio solutions in their professional lives.”
Jeppe Dalberg-Larsen, President of EPOS
The collaboration between EPOS and racing is expected to enable users to enjoy Grand Prix-level performance anytime, anywhere, they say.
“In today’s world, everything is about communication. Whether you’re racing with a Formula One team around the world or collaborating virtually with colleagues, clear and effective communication can mean the difference between success and failure. Our partnership with EPOS provides an exceptional opportunity to bring the team’s standards of technical collaboration to ambitious, motivated people around the world.”

EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC – slim, modern headset
The manufacturer is deliberately not talking about a normal headset, because it wants to focus specifically on use in the business environment. For this, the EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC is equipped with some outstanding features, which we already mentioned in the introduction.
First of all, there is the high audio quality that the manufacturer promises for the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC, whereby an adaptive noise suppression is supposed to contribute significantly. Four ANC microphones ensure that the environment is constantly monitored and that disturbing noises are effectively suppressed based on DSP-based signal processing. This should not only work great in an open office environment, but also in the home office, but also outdoors.
The EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC is equipped with EPOS AI, which is supposed to guarantee a natural listening experience, so that phone calls can be made undisturbed.
Direct support of voice assistants and integration in Microsoft Teams
A very important point for use in the business environment is of course that the new device directly supports Microsoft Teams, one of the leading communication platforms, and is certified for it. The manufacturer also cites an Alcatel Lucent certification for the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC.
Beyond that, you can also directly access Amazon Alexa as a voice assistant, and Google Assistant under Google Android and Apple Siri under Apple iOS are naturally supported in connection with smartphones.
Key technical data
The new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC uses a driver that can cover a frequency between 17 Hz and 23 kHz. The signal transmission to the source device is of course first and foremost via Bluetooth, whereby Bluetooth 5.0 is used and aptX and aptX LL are supported in addition to SBC and AAC. A PC connection can be established with the EPOS BTD 800 USB-A or USB-C dongle.
Alternatively, the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC can also be operated via cable, also via USB, but also in the classic purely analog way, whereby cables with 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack are included in the scope of delivery.
High wearing comfort
The EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC headset is exclusively made of high-quality materials. How could it be otherwise due to the partnership between EPOS and the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team, of course it presents itself in black as well as color accents in Aston Martin British Racing Green. An ergonomic and compact design, padded headband and leatherette ear cushions provide all-day comfort, according to the manufacturer’s promise.
Long battery life of up to 30 hours
We have also already mentioned another essential feature in the introduction, and that is a long battery runtime. The manufacturer claims a battery life of up to 30 hours for the new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC. Complete charging is supposed to be done after a maximum of two and a half hours.
Prices and availability
The new EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC headset can be pre-ordered now from the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team web store. The headset is available in black with Aston Martin Racing Green accents. The price for this solution is € 499,-. However, the headset will not actually be available until March 31, 2022.
Getting to the point
EPOS is yet another headphone manufacturer to enter into a partnership with Formula One, specifically the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team. This partnership is said to be for several years and is expected to produce products that represent the high quality standards and performance at the highest level of the two partners. The first such product is the EPOS ADAPT 660 AMC headset, which will soon be available, with a particular focus on use in the business environment.
