Electrocompaniet A/S opts for JPLAY Certified

The software developer JPLAY has now succeeded in gaining another important partner for its JPLAY Certified programme: the Norwegian High-end HiFi manufacturer Electrocompaniet A/S.

Story Highlights
  • The Norwegian High-end HiFi manufacturer Electrocompaniet A/S becomes part of the JPLAY Certified partner programme and equips a range of streaming systems for the JPLAY for Apple iOS app.

The software manufacturer JPLAY has been offering the JPLAY for Apple iOS solution for years, an app that it sees as a kind of reference in the field of so-called HiFi apps, which is intended to guarantee the highest quality music playback of content from a wide variety of sources on various streaming systems.

To ensure that this promise of top-quality playback can actually be fulfilled, JPLAY is working closely with various companies in the streaming sector and has initiated a corresponding partner programme with JPLAY Certified.

JPLAY Certified

The basis for streaming via JPLAY for Apple iOS is the industry standard UPnP, incidentally the only real industry standard in this area. Streaming via various streaming clients or streaming transports using JPLAY for Apple iOS therefore does not require a separate core or a special server; instead, playback takes place smoothly and directly between the smartphone and the playback device.

And to ensure precisely this, JPLAY Certified is used, with the primary aim of automatically recognising appropriate solutions and guaranteeing the best possible quality in each case.

The software company JPLAY has already been able to attract a number of well-known manufacturers to this partner programme, such as XACT, Weiss Engineering, Totaldac, Bricasti, Hegel Music Systems, Antipodes, Vermeer Audio, Keces Audio, dCS, MSB Technologie, EverSolo, Cary Audio, Ayre Acoustics and, most recently, Nagra and Métronome Technologie and its Kalista brand.

Electrocompaniet A/S as a further partner for JPLAY Certified

The Norwegian High-end HiFi manufacturer Electrocompaniet A/S is now also a JPLAY Certified partner, ensuring that solutions from the Electrocompaniet Classic Line are just as JPLAY Certified as those from the EC Living Series by Electrocompaniet A/S.

In the Electrocompaniet Classic Line, the solutions Electrocompaniet ECM 1 and Electrocompaniet ECM 1-MK II are certified, as are the products Electrocompaniet ECI6DX and Electrocompaniet ECI6DX-MKII.

For the EV Living Line, the products Rena S-1 and Rena SA-1, Rena S-2 and Rena SA-2, as well as Tana SL-1 and Tana SL-2 are labelled as JPLAY Certified.

Prices and availability

Users of the above-mentioned solutions do not have to do anything, of course this option is available to them free of charge. They only need to purchase the JPLAY for Apple iOS app in order to benefit from the new streaming options.

Getting to the point

The JPLAY for Apple iOS solution combines the playback of content from your own network with direct access to the streaming services of TIDAL and Qobuz, according to the description from the developers of JPLAY. The focus here is on particularly simple, even intuitive operation, but also on playback in the best quality, with pure bit-perfect streaming guaranteed by the JPLAY Certified partner programme. The Norwegian High-end HiFi manufacturer Electrocompaniet A/S, whose streaming solutions from the Electrocompaniet Classic Line and the EV Living Series by Electrocompaniet A/S are now recognised as JPLAY Certified, is one of the companies that trust in JPLAY Certified.
