Denon, the renowned Japanese HiFi manufacturer, has for many years been dedicated to the classic combination of stereo integrated amplifier and CD player to create a fine HiFi chain. The company regularly launches corresponding solutions on the market, thus keeping faith with the audio CD.
What’s more, Denon’s latest offspring, the Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player, proves that the company not only believes in the future of the audio CD, but also in the future of the Super Audio CD. The new SACD player should, of course, be the perfect partner for the Denon PMA-3000NE Integrated Amplifier.
For SACD, CD, DVD-R/ RW, DVD+R/ RW and CD-R/ RW
The manufacturer emphasises the fact that the Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player is capable of playing virtually any optical data carrier that is relevant for music playback. This ensures that the new Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player not only plays SACD and audio CDs perfectly, but also discs in the form of DVD-R/ RW or DVD+R/ RW and, of course, CD-R/ RW, with data in a wide variety of data formats, whether in Linear PCM with up to 24 bits and 192 kHz, or DSD up to and including DSD128.
Denon S.V.H. mechanism
Smooth playback of optical discs is primarily ensured by the drive used here, which features the Denon S.V.G. mechanism, which stands for Suppress Vibration Hybrid. This ensures that each disc is not only loaded quickly, but can also be read with particular precision and particularly accurate playback is guaranteed.
Powerful D/A converter
The new Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD player is equipped with a converter, which the manufacturer does not go into in detail, but simply refers to a quad D/A converter that can provide clean, detailed and spatial sound and a high dynamic range, with signal processing at up to 32 bits and 384 kHz or DSD128.
The clock is set by a particularly precise master clock, as the manufacturer explicitly emphasises.
Signal processing using Denon Ultra AL32 Processing
Once again, the Japanese HiFi manufacturer Denon relies on a very special algorithm for signal processing in the new Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player, namely the so-called Denon Ultra AL32 Processing, which is already the seventh generation of this algorithm.
This is a special data interpolation algorithm that uses upsampling to ensure optimum signal processing with the highest level of detail and dynamics free from sound-damaging noise and supports signals up to 24 bit and 384 kHz.
Pure Direct mode
If desired, the Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player can also be set to deactivate or remove from the signal path everything that is not immediately necessary in order to prevent any sound-damaging influence from the outset. This is known as Pure Direct mode.
Analogue or digital
In addition to an analogue output in the form of a pair of RCA sockets, the new Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD player also has digital outputs. Both an optical and a coaxial S/PDIF interface are available.
It should be mentioned in this context that the Denon DCD-3000NE Super Audio CD Player has no digital inputs, so its D/A converter is not available to external sources.

According to the manufacturer, Denon’s customised components are designed for optimum sound. Short signal paths counteract unwanted noise and ensure unadulterated sound reproduction. Tuning by the so-called Denon Soundmasters should also contribute to this, as emphasised by Denon.
