With the Cambridge Audio EVO 75 and Cambridge Audio EVO 150 models, the English HiFi manufacturer Cambridge Audio presented two solutions in the Just add Speakers category, as they are compact, yet extremely flexible and also very elegant All-in-One systems. Based on the Cambridge Audio StreamMagic streaming platform, now in its fourth generation, the two solutions essentially offer everything you would expect from a modern HiFi system.

The Cambridge Audio EVO 150 Streaming Amplifier model has now undergone a subtle upgrade; Cambridge Audio presents this solution as the Cambridge Audio EVO 150 SE Streaming Amplifier, with the focus on sound-optimised power amplifiers.

Flexible All-in-One system in the Just add Speakers category

Whether Cambridge Audio EVO 150 Streaming Amplifier or Cambridge Audio EVO 150 SE Streaming Amplifier, the solutions offer, as just described, everything you would expect from a modern All-in-One system.

Firstly, there are numerous interfaces for integrating a wide variety of external sources. The spectrum here ranges from the ability to connect a CD player via analogue and digital inputs, a phono preamp for integrating record players through to the direct connection of a TV set via an HDMI port and the ability to connect a PC or Mac via USB.

The streaming functionality stands out in particular, however, as it relies on the Cambridge Audio StreamMagic platform, which has been tried and tested for years and has been continuously improved by Cambridge Audio and is now in its fourth generation.

This allows streaming via UPnP, ensures that services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Deezer or Qobuz can be accessed directly and that Internet radio and podcasts are always available. This platform also supports TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast and is also labelled as Roon Ready.

Of course, this solution can be integrated into the network either via WiFi or an RJ45 Ethernet interface, and Bluetooth is also available for using smartphones directly as a source, for example.

Intuitive control is achieved using the corresponding apps, which are available for Google Android and Apple iOS. However, simple operation is also possible directly from the device, as the front is adorned with a very generously sized 6.8 inch display and there are a number of buttons plus a rotary encoder, which is now presented in a slightly adapted new design on the new Cambridge Audio EVO 150 SE Streaming Amplifier, which should be mentioned here for the sake of completeness.

Another key feature of the All-in-One systems from Cambridge Audio is their timelessly elegant design, with the option of changing the wooden side panels – two variants are included in the scope of delivery.
