Story Highlights
  • With the launch of the AVID RELVEO, British manufacturer AVID HiFi introduces a new chapter in high-end analog playback – combining more than three decades of precision engineering with timeless design language.

British manufacturer AVID has unveiled the RELVEO, a high-end turntable that brings together cutting-edge engineering and iconic design. Building on more than three decades of expertise in precision turntable development, the RELVEO transfers technologies from the company’s acclaimed Acutus into a more compact, contemporary form. The result is a turntable that fuses modern engineering with audiophile passion, setting a new standard in the high-end analog domain.

According to AVID HiFi, the result is a drive that combines state-of-the-art engineering with audiophile passion, setting new standards in the high-end segment.

AVID RELVEO in Detail

At the heart of the RELVEO sits a 7 kg aluminum platter, supported by an inverted stainless-steel bearing with a sapphire thrust point for minimal noise and unrivaled smoothness. A robust 24V synchronous motor, driven by a standalone DSP-regulated power supply with variable speed control, ensures pitch accuracy and precise timing. The twin-belt drive system enhances dynamics and preserves rhythmic integrity.

To combat unwanted resonance, AVID has developed a new conical three-point suspension system using high-damping Sorbothane. This advanced isolation method effectively shields the turntable from environmental vibrations, guaranteeing clean playback even in acoustically challenging spaces.

The rigid subchassis, crafted from large-grain aluminum, has been optimized for stiffness and resonance control. Together with a resin-impregnated felt mat and heavy-duty record clamp, vibrations are efficiently dissipated – a clear advantage over conventional turntable designs.

AVID ALTUS v2 Tonearm Included

Each RELVEO comes standard with the acclaimed AVID ALTUS v2 tonearm. Built with ultra-precise bearings, dual anti-skating compensation, and meticulous craftsmanship, the tonearm allows fine groove details to emerge effortlessly. Listeners can expect stable stereo imaging and a lifelike soundstage that elevate the analog listening experience.
