Pro-Ject Audio Systems relies on Plāys with Audirvāna

The Austrian company Pro-Ject Audio Systems is now also relying on a partnership with the French software company Audirvāna SAS. In this context, selected streaming solutions from the Pro-Ject Box Design Series are now certified as Plāys with Audirvāna.

Story Highlights
  • Selected streaming solutions from Pro-Ject Audio Systems are now certified as Plāys with Audirvāna.

With the Plāys with Audirvāna programme, the French software company Audirvāna SAS has initiated a partner programme whose aim is to optimise the interaction of the Audirvāna Studio and Audirvāna Origin software with various hardware systems and thus achieve the best possible playback results, including content in Hi-res audio.

So far, a number of well-known industry partners have already been won over for this programme, and now the Austrian company Pro-Ject Audio Systems is also part of it, naturally with solutions from the so-called Pro-Ject Box Design Series.

Pro-Ject Audio Systems is a new Certified Partner of Audirvāna SAS

If devices carry the Plāys label with Audirvāna, they are automatically recognised by the Audirvāna Studio or Audirvāna Origin software as soon as they are connected directly to the PC or Mac via USB or used as a streaming device via UPnP or Google Chromecast.

A Plāys with Audirvāna pop-up should appear to confirm that the devices have been fully tested and work seamlessly with the software, as Audirvāna SAS reports.

This now also applies to Pro-Ject Box Design Series systems, namely the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra and the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital, according to Pro-Ject Audio Systems.

Flexible tool – Audirvāna Studio

From Pro-Ject Audio Systems’ point of view, Audirvāna Studio and Audirvāna Origin are an immensely versatile solution for Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows, which can of course also be used to ensure an impeccable presentation via the Pro-Ject Box Design Series solutions.

The software serves as a clearly organised media management system, allowing you to access streaming services such as Qobuz, TIDAL and HIGHRESAUDIO in addition to your own content. The special feature of the software, however, is above all that it has a unique signal processing system that not only completely bypasses the respective operating system, but also provides various DSP algorithms for signal processing.

In addition to D/A converters that are connected directly to the PC or Mac via USB, Audirvāna Studio and Audirvāna Origin also support streaming via UPnP and Google Chromecast.

Prices and availability

No action is required to use Audirvāna Studio or Audirvāna Origin with the Pro-Ject Box Design Series solutions, and this is also free of charge for existing users of the software.

However, Pro-Ject Audio Systems is now offering buyers of a Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra and Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital the opportunity to test the software extensively. A voucher for a three-month trial can be requested or redeemed via the company’s website.

Getting to the point

Plāys with Audirvāna from the French software forge Audirvāna SAS is designed to ensure that their Audirvāna Studio solutions work in the best possible way with D/A converters or streaming clients, for example, to guarantee the best possible results. It is pleasing that the Austrian company Pro-Ject Audio Systems is now also one of the Certified Partners and that the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra and Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital solutions are certified as Plāys with Audirvāna.
