Nick Clarke new Managing Director of Cyrus Audio Ltd.

The year 2022 begins with a bang at Cyrus Audio Ltd. With immediate effect, Nick Clarke takes over the role of Managing Director and thus the management of the renowned English high-end hi-fi company.

Welcome Nick Clarke as a new member of the Cyrus Audio Ltd. family, says the English high-end hi-fi company about a personnel decision that will become effective at the beginning of 2022. Nick Clarke is the new managing director of Cyrus Audio Ltd, making him responsible for the fortunes of the Cambridgeshire-based company.

The owner and current managing director Simon Freethly will become chairman of the board, the company said in the corresponding release.

Nick Clarke with many years of experience at leading companies in the industry

The new Managing Director of Cyrus Audio Ltd, Nick Clarke, has many years of experience in the industry in leading positions at well-known companies.

In recent years, he has held the position of Senior Director of Global Engineering for the Harman Luxury Audio Division at Harman International Industries, a company that is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

In this role, Nick Clark was responsible for the fortunes of renowned brands such as Arcam, Lexicon, Revel, JBL Synthesis and Mark Levinson.

He has also previously held senior positions at Arcam, IAG, TAG McLaren and Audiolab.

“This is an important strategic move for Cyrus. Nick brings a vast amount of industry experience that will allow us to improve in many areas. His expertise in product development will enable us to bring many more exciting new products to market through our talented R&D team.”

Marking new partnership with Lenbrook Group

It is interesting to note that Nick Clarke’s takeover of the company’s management coincides with another strategic announcement by Cyrus Audio Ltd. The English high-end hi-fi manufacturer announced a partnership with the Lenbrook Group in order to be able to use BluOS as a technology platform for streaming systems in the future.

The English company seems to be taking a much broader position than before, and it seems to fit very well to have a man in a leading position who knows the market very well and is deeply involved in the development of state-of-the-art solutions for consumer electronics.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me to take on a much more active leadership role and start a new chapter in the history of a classic and much-loved British hi-fi brand. I am fully focused on strengthening Cyrus’ position as an industry leader, producing products that will delight every modern audio enthusiast.”

Getting to the point

That the announcement of the partnership with Lenbrook Group and the future support of BluOS for streaming systems from Cyrus Audio Ltd. goes hand in hand with the announcement that a new managing director, Nick Clarke, is taking over the reins of the high-end hi-fi forge may be a coincidence, but it can certainly also be seen from a strategic point of view. With Nick Clarke, a proven expert with many years of experience at Harman Luxury Audio is taking over the management of the English high-end hi-fi company, which, with the future support of BluOS, will be much more broadly positioned than before.
