Lotoo presents LTTP as an alternative to Bluetooth – Wireless signal transmission of Hi-res audio

TTP is a Lotoo brand technology that has been specially developed for wireless signal transmission of Hi-res audio. Beijing Infomedia Electronic Technology Co. is now presenting this for the first time at High-end 2024 in Munich.

Story Highlights
  • Beijing Infomedia Electronic Technology Co. is presenting LTTP for wireless signal transmission of Hi-res audio for the first time at High-end 2024.

It is a solution that is compatible with all software and hardware platforms, which has been specially designed for the signal transmission of Hi-res audio and which achieves this completely loss-free, says Beijing Infomedia Electronic Technology Co. about LTTP, a technology of the Lotoo brand, which will be presented for the first time at High-end 2024 in Munich.

The fact that Beijing Infomedia Electronic Technology Co. is focusing on this type of technology is not least due to the fact that the company is one of the largest providers of audio workstations and broadcast solutions in the Asian region with its Lotoo brand, so it clearly has the relevant expertise.

LTTP Wireless, with adaptive bandwidth and lossless

Lotoo LTTP is said to stand out from other wireless solutions such as Bluetooth simply because it was developed specifically for the signal transmission of Hi-res audio. LTTP stands for Lotoo Teleportation Protocol and is characterised by a special mode of transmission and operation.

LTTP was not developed for the so-called ‘Internet of Things’, but for maximising audio data transmission with a high bandwidth, according to the manufacturer’s description, which refers to an effective bandwidth of 1.5 Mbit/s and compares this directly with Bluetooth and the aptX codec with a maximum of 600 kbit/s and LDAC with a maximum of 990 kbit/s.

LTTP uses a so-called Media Management Protocol Technology to repeatedly check the audio data information during file transfer in order to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Precision Time Synchronisation Technology is also used to synchronise the clock of the sender and receiver with high precision.

The Adaptive Band Management Protocol Technology automatically adapts the sampling rate and bit rate of the data stream to the original files without the need for SRC conversion, according to the manufacturer, who also speaks of a plug & play solution that can automatically switch between low latency and high-resolution modes.

The signal is transmitted at a maximum of 24 bit and 96 kHz, lossless up to 24 bit and 48 kHz.

LTTP is compatible with all common software and hardware platforms, including Apple iOS and Google Android on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, as well as desktop systems or notebooks with Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS.

Prices and availability

According to the manufacturer, the new LTTP from Lotoo will be integrated into all of the brand’s products in future. This new signal transmission technology will be presented at the High-end 2024 with the Lotoo WT-1 LTTP transmitter.

Getting to the point

With LTTP or the Lotoo Teleportaton Protocol, the Chinese company Beijing Infomedia Electronic Technology Co. will be presenting a lossless signal transmission technology for the first time at High-end 2024, which is to be integrated into all Lotoo brand solutions in the future and is clearly superior to current Bluetooth-based solutions.
