Jamo HYG Series – Jamo HYG Flex, Jamo HYG Flow and Jamo HYG Reflect with Bluetooth 6.0 and Auracast

Jamo is moving back into lifestyle audio with a carefully shaped new wireless speaker family. The Jamo HYG Series takes its cue from Scandinavian ideas of comfort and relaxed living, but the technical brief is thoroughly current: Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast on selected models, long battery life and integrated light or charging functions. With Jamo HYG Flex, Jamo HYG Flow and Jamo HYG Reflect, the company is not launching just three Bluetooth speakers, but a small ecosystem for different rooms and routines.

Story Highlights
  • Jamo HYG Series marks a deliberate return to compact, design-conscious wireless audio, with three models tailored to home, outdoor and bedside use. The range combines soft fabric finishes and calm colours with Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast on two models and practical details such as ambient light, IPX7 protection and wireless charging.

Jamo is expanding its portfolio with the new Jamo HYG Series, a trio of wireless speakers that clearly wants to be understood as more than a set of conventional Bluetooth speakers. The line draws on the Scandinavian notion of hygge, the idea of warmth, comfort and an easy, relaxed domestic atmosphere, and translates that into compact audio products for different spaces and situations. At launch, the range consists of Jamo HYG Flex, Jamo HYG Flow and Jamo HYG Reflect. According to the company, the new model line is scheduled to make its first official appearance during HIGH END Vienna 2026.

Jamo returns to a modern lifestyle-audio setting

For many years, Jamo has been associated with loudspeakers that placed design almost on equal footing with acoustic performance. With the new Jamo HYG Series, the company is entering a segment that has become far more demanding than it once was: compact, portable and home-friendly loudspeakers that are expected not only to play music, but also to sit naturally within contemporary interiors.

The logic of the range is neatly divided into three roles. Jamo HYG Flex is aimed at users looking for a more powerful, room-filling speaker for the living room, kitchen, terrace or flexible zones around the home. Jamo HYG Flow is the tougher, more compact companion for outdoor use, travel and the garden. Jamo HYG Reflect, meanwhile, is designed as a bedside speaker, combining audio, light, clock, alarm, wireless charging and relaxation functions in one device.

That makes the Jamo HYG Series feel less like a simple Bluetooth speaker family and more like a coherent small product world for different everyday scenarios. The common thread is a soft, restrained design approach, with fabric surfaces, muted colours and an intentionally domestic character.

Jamo HYG Flex – the adaptable speaker for living room, kitchen and terrace

The flagship model in the new series is Jamo HYG Flex. Jamo describes it as a wireless speaker for listeners who want stronger, room-filling sound in a form that reflects Scandinavian design values. Its cylindrical cabinet is wrapped in soft fabric and is intended to move easily from one room to another.

Acoustically, Jamo HYG Flex uses a two-way configuration with two angled 25 mm tweeters and one 127 mm woofer. According to the technical data, the crossover operates at 2,5 kHz, while the frequency response is specified at 46 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB. In mains operation, total amplifier power is rated at 56 Watt RMS; in battery mode, this is reduced to 28 Watt RMS.

Wireless connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 6.0. The supported codecs are SBC, AAC and LC3. Auracast is also integrated, allowing compatible Jamo speakers to be linked together. According to the manufacturer, this enables both simple multi-room configurations and stereo pairing. An analogue AUX input is also provided.

One feature that underlines the speaker’s home-oriented character is the integrated ambient light at the base of the unit. Brightness can be adjusted, allowing the speaker to function not only as an audio product but also as a discreet light source in darker surroundings. Jamo specifies battery life at up to 15 hours, with charging via the mains connection taking around three hours. Via USB-C, Jamo HYG Flex can also serve as a charging output with up to 10 Watt.

Jamo HYG Flow – compact, waterproof and made to travel

Jamo HYG Flow is the most mobile model in the new Jamo HYG Series. According to the manufacturer, it has been developed for outdoor areas, travel and straightforward use on the move. With its integrated braided handle, water-repellent coated fabric and IPX7 rating, it is clearly intended to live beyond the sitting room.

Inside, two 38 mm full-range drivers work together with two passive radiators. Jamo says the tuning is aimed especially at balanced stereo sound, clear voices and long listening sessions with music, audiobooks or radio. Frequency response is specified at 66 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB, while maximum sound pressure is rated at 90 dB SPL at a distance of one metre.

Jamo HYG Flow also uses Bluetooth 6.0 and supports SBC, AAC and LC3. Auracast is included here as well, meaning this model can also be connected to other compatible Jamo Auracast speakers. There is no physical audio input, so this speaker is deliberately focused on wireless playback.

The stated battery life of up to 27 hours is particularly relevant in practical use. It positions Jamo HYG Flow as a long-running companion for day trips, the garden, balcony, picnic or travel. Charging via USB-C takes around three hours according to the technical specifications.

Jamo HYG Reflect – bedside speaker with light, alarm and wireless charging

Jamo HYG Reflect is the most specialised model in the range. It is not conceived as a classic portable speaker, but as an audio and comfort solution for the bedroom. Here, Jamo combines a Bluetooth speaker, clock, alarm, sleep timer, snooze function, ambient light and wireless charging surface in one compact device.

Acoustically, Jamo HYG Reflect uses two 51 mm full-range drivers and two passive radiators. Frequency response is specified at 82 Hz to 20 kHz at -6 dB, while amplifier power is listed as 2 x 10 Watt RMS or 2 x 20 Watt peak. Playback is provided via Bluetooth 6.0 and an AUX input through a 3,5 mm mini jack. The supported codecs are SBC and AAC.

Among its distinctive features are integrated ambient soundscapes, which the manufacturer says are inspired by Scandinavian nature and intended to support relaxation and calm. Three soundscapes are planned: Golden Hour, Daybreak and Moonlight Echo. The speaker also offers selectable brightness levels for the ambient light, a 12- or 24-hour clock mode and a backup battery for the clock function.

Jamo also wants the bedside table to remain as uncluttered as possible. The integrated wireless charging surface delivers up to 15 Watt, while an additional USB-C charging port provides a maximum of 5 V and 2 A. This means Jamo HYG Reflect can also act as a central bedside charging station alongside its audio functions.

Bluetooth 6.0 and Auracast as the technical core

One of the defining technical features of the Jamo HYG Series is the use of Bluetooth 6.0 across the entire range. Jamo HYG Flex and Jamo HYG Flow additionally include Auracast. That matters because Auracast is intended to make the use of several compatible speakers considerably more straightforward. Instead of addressing just a single Bluetooth speaker, users can connect multiple Auracast-capable products.

For the Jamo HYG Series, that means Jamo HYG Flex and Jamo HYG Flow can, according to the manufacturer, be combined with other compatible Jamo Auracast speakers. Depending on the setup, this opens the door to simple multi-room applications or stereo pairing. In a product range explicitly designed for the living room, terrace, garden and mobile use, this is far more meaningful than a specification-sheet extra.

Design and colours – soft fabric instead of tech-object styling

Jamo is visibly placing strong emphasis on a home-friendly design language with the HYG Series. Fabric surfaces, soft radii, restrained colours and integrated lighting functions move the speakers closer to interior design than many purely functional Bluetooth speakers.

Jamo HYG Flex will be offered in Dark Grey and Light Grey. Jamo HYG Flow is positioned more colourfully and will be available in Dark Grey, Light Grey, Sand Dune, Summer Bloom, Red Oxide and Sage Green. Jamo HYG Reflect returns to a calmer palette, offered in Dark Grey and Light Grey, which suits its role as a bedroom and bedside solution.
